If you had the audience of the GB, what is your #1 question you would ask them?
by Darth Fader The Sequel inthere are a million of them and mine is by no means the most important question to ask them if i only had one shot at it.
but, i have always wondered what kind of bs excuse they would give as an answer to this question: "brother goober bum, given that there are both male and female partakers here on earth who claim to be of the 'anointed' and plan on being of the 144,000 ruling with christ in heaven for eternity........ why are the female 'anointed' treated as submissive, second class citizens and why is their opinion on doctrinal matters, matters of teaching and reproving, anything at all.... why are they not recognized while here on earth even though you claim that jesus has selected them to become angels to rule with him?

Lois Lane,
Yep, it is getting to be that time of year again when baby racoons start appearing on my doorstep in boxes. I have been collecting canned formula, liquid morphine, and saline IV bags, tube and needles all winter long from Hospice nurses. Usually the babies I get have been without their mother for a day or two and are extreemly dehydrated or have been mulled by a cat or dog. Rocky, a male from three seasons ago, showed up on my porch mid February eating the cat food I put out for the wild cats. I put my hand on the window and he tried to touch me though the glass. I'm glad he, especially, made though another winter, he is my canoe partner, well, as long as I have marshmellows.
My MIL's funeral was bitter sweet. The snow is almost all gone and the ground is mushy and muddy. She so much enjoyed the spring and she would often come over to volenteer to feed some of the baby racoons; it gets to be quite a job at times when there are more mouths than I have hands. I am going to greatly miss her especially in the comming weeks.
I am gratfull that the JWs just came and left right away. I am choosing to look at it as a show of respect by allowing the family to grieve in peace, even though I know they are incapable of respect for others. I'm tired of the anger as it takes a lot of energy to maintain angry feelings. I don't have that kind of energy anymore. I think what occured today is a good place for me to let go in peace.

Her funeral was at 1pm today. They held it at a VFW hall where the service was upstairs and a meal downstairs. We all brought dishes to pass, so much food! Well there were about 40 JW's there, you could easily tell, they all their new Gray colored bibles in hand. The MS that gave the sermon did a fairly nice job, spent more time on my MIL than I have seen them do in the past. But they knew there were MANY apostates these. We all came in with wild hair, and googly eyes; Mentally ill you know. LOL. There were probably 10 or more apostates I knew of, and many relitives of different religions. Well my husband and I sat up front, every seat in back of us was taken. But after the prayer, all the JW's left, yes, LEFT. My husband and I looked back right after the closing prayer and they were all walking out, got in their cars and went. It left much for us apostates to explain to relitives and friends why, they couldn't believe it. They also put up a table in the back where everyone signed the memorial book with tons of JW lituture on it. Just piles of books, magizines, and such. I thought that was tacky. But all in all, it was nice to have a meal without the typical tension of who or WHAT was sitting next to you.

Ginger,
After 30 years, I do not know anyone there anymore, but I am sure my sister and brothers-in-law will blow a trumpet a head of us. They are so vindictive and just plain mean. The "boys" have been on notice many a time from the eldes over their drinking, and the sister-in-law married out of the religion to a drunk herself. She is not by anymeans "active" as she supports herself and her husband. What a family eh???
Everyone else: Oh boy, are they going to be upset that it won't be a "freebe" in the KH. They don't have the money for a funeral home, she is being creamated and they have not decided what to do with the ashes yet. Mom knew a few people there, but she only saw them if she went to the KH and she has not been there in over a year and probably a year before that.

Hello All,
It has been a long time since I have been here, but I need you guys now. My Mother-in-law is on her death been; most likely will not make it though the night. My husband and I have sat with her for the past two days, she is totally unconcious. Anyways, here is the drill. My husband and I left the JWs 30 years ago. His sister and two of his brothers call themselves JWs, they were baptized, but are drunk more than they are not. The "boys" ages 46 and 48 lived with their mother, never married, no kids. Mom was always nice to us, never shunned us even though the rest of the family did, so we always made a point to visit with her dispite their treatment of us.
Now when I was there yesterday the hospice nurse asked about their arrangements for her and the family seems to think that a elder will give her a " proper" eulogie (sp) and that all the sisters will bring food for after a service for her. However Mom was NEVER, EVER, baptized, attended only once in a great while. I think they are delusional, but I did not want any kind of arguements in that situation so I bit my lip and did not say that it was my experience that JW's don't do anything for someone who is not baptized.
Am I correct in my thinking here? After being out for 30 years, will they provide a preaching funeral service for her and a dinner after when she was not baptized?

A KH here in Michigan built in the 1960s (a nice one with windows) was at first sold to a animal vet. Two years ago it was resold to a Michigan Marijuana group and is now a very active Marijuana Compassion Club. The best religion ever!!!!
