for years, i've questioned internally, the policies of the watchtower, the teachings, the directives of co's and do's and the overall "attitude" of jw's.
mind you, no one would have ever thought that i didn't believe this is without a doubt the "truth".

I can't do it anymore.
by Gadget inpeople who've been reading my posts will know i've been trying to get reinstated so i can get back together with my girlfriend/fiance.
the more time goes on, the less i feel able to do that.
all the things i hear from the platform, and the things that elders have said to me just reinforce the fact that i want nothing at all to do with this organisation anymore.

Gadget, I would certainly bet that your "visit" will be unannounced. Be prepaired for a grilling, they will team up on you. If they ask to speak with you, do it at your house, not at the hall. Get them on your territory. Answer questions in your own time, don't let them hurry you into an answer. But most of all, stand your ground.
Make sure and ask everyone here for any help you need.

Well Tink, I can't answer your question. I for one am totally against abortion. So for me, if the woman wants the child it's no problem. My issue is, if the woman does not want it. What then? How can both sides assert thier own rights in the situation? The answer is, you can't, there will be a loser, aside from the child.

and this is from when i was growing up until i left home at 18.. every single weekend was field service.

Any infraction, no matter how trivial, had to be brought before the elders. One time I lied about my homework being done in order to go on a small vacation. It was not done, and I was brought before the elders.

when all of your clothes make you feel fat, and you want breakfast but you've rummaged through the fridge and all of the cupboards and nothing sounds good, and your cheerful s/o is just making you feel worse with their attempts to make you feel better, and you can't find your favorite book anywhere, and the littlest things get on your nerves for no reason, which just makes you even more irritable because you know you're being childish but can't help it, and everything just plain sucks?
any suggestions for the terminally cranky?.
