by JH in2 elders came to my door today, at noon sharp, and i opened the door to let them in.
they didn't want to come in, so they stood at the door and asked me, "what's stopping you from coming to the hall"?
they only come once a year and always around christmas time.

Being too picky>>>
by Frantic inarrrrgh, ive been labelled by many as too picky.
this ever happen to you guys?> it is known that most of us humans will never meet the 'right' person for us, or perfect, if u will.
for example, i might meet this good looking chick, and she wants to have sex immediately, and im not into that - first, takes away the mystery and second, whose to say she wouldnt do it the following night with some other stranger?

That's true, the good ones don't last long. I would venture to say, that if you dated a couple of these women you meet, word would get out on what kind of guy you are. And if the women think your one of the good ones, they would be lining up at your door.
But they will never know if you keep throwing away any and all women you THINK are sluts. The funny thing is, all people, men and women alike, have different ideas on what love is. Just because a woman wants to sleep with you, doesn't mean she's a slut, but it just may mean to her that's how a relationship starts. She's never been taught any better. YOU can change that by showing her what caring and love really is. When you show her what it's really all about, she will fall in love with you even more. No amount of sex could do any better. If you can touch a woman deeply emotionally, then your golden. Women want stability and realiabilty. If you provide that kind of example to a woman, that draws them even closer.
Sometimes all that people need, is to be shown how things work. Once that happens, then they too will have those same high standards in the future.

I just wanna say something to everybody!
by U.2.K. Tha Greate$t inalright i understand that this board is full of non-believers, maybe you believe in evolution(which btw i hate very much) or maybe you are a atheist.
and another thing i notice is that this board is very much against the jw's.
anyway i might be only 22, but i know and i understand more things in this world than half the suckas in this world.

I'll tell ya what U.2.K., come back in 10 years and read what you have written here. Time does an amazing thing to your outlook on life, and the people around you......no offense.
I'm sure all of us here remember what it was like to be 22 and have EVERYTHING figured out. Give the kid a break, he knows not what he says.

Aging..nah. I think anyone can age gracefully, it just takes some effort to do it as you get older.
Now as for death, the only thing that frightens me about it, is losing loved one's in death. As for my own, I'm not that concerned. Personally, I think it will be a relief when death comes. I think I am at the end of my journey in this life.

if i were god thou shall not worship false billy idols.
and thou shall add the book of flavor flav to the bible.

After JW, do you hunger for all the things you didnt do..simple things
by LyinEyes inbeing raised a jw, i honestly did not know what a great big world we live in.
all the places i never went to see, things i wanted to do,,,, because i figured , i will just do that when the new world gets here.
there was always going to be forever to do all the things that make life interesting.. i settled for the here and now as a good jw, meetings, field service, studying the same material over and over in the wt publications, and that was my life.

I think focusing on the things that are important to me are first, you can never learn too much. After that I slowly spread my horizons, I think sticking close to the basics are important, that way you never lose who you are. Knowing one's self is the first step in finding out what you want in life.
