  i'm grateful for the friends i've made here and hope to continue relationships with them however this board has reached the 'more harmful than good' stage for me as well so i'm going to have to move on.

  i've recently began re-question my decision to leave the jw's and have been wondering if we arent all really screwed up as is believed to be the case by jw's.

  i need to go back and re-read all the exjw literature to prove to myself all over again that we are normal and ok and victims of a fraudulent cult.

  Do they not realize by saying the media is part of satans that they are included as well?How many here remember just a few days ago on a different thread that the wts made a commercial promoting themselves,it was a free commercial but does that free them from there morals,does it not say in the bible "do not partake of the world because everything in it is abhorant and you yourself will become just like them".

  Got Given A Witness Today.

  there i was, enjoying a lovely warm morning in sunny winscombe in deepest somerset whilst working on a clients roof, when out of the corner of my eye i espied 3 ladies sauntering up the road at a leisurely 0.5mph.

  aha, i thought, that looks like the pioneer crawl, there's dubs on the horizon!

  i had my car parked in the customers driveway, so i thought to myself "why not take a break now, sit in the car and munch my blt, and see if they approach?".

  JW commercial on t.v. news channel

  i can not beleive what i just saw on the all news channel.

  it was a commercial endorsed by the christain congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. the commercial starts off with a mom checking on her son,who can not sleep .

  he is upset and by the drawing he did, you can tell it is about the world trade center attacks.

  Mike bwahaha leave it to someone on this site to notice that.But seriously I wanted to put my fist through the screen when I saw this,but then I wouldn't be able to talk to all you lovely people.I just makes me boil when I think about this,we were all so brainwashed for years about don't do this or don't say that or watch who you associate with,and then by slyly changing over a long period of time the wt will eventually be a shadow of the catholic church.And what is this I see in there heading,a CHRISTIAN congregation of jw's correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it not to long ago the jw's were stressing how they are jehovah's servant's and to give praise only to him,maybe I'm not explaining this correctly but it seems to me that somewhere not to long ago there was that distinction made.At any rate you know that they are hard up for members when they go to advertising,I'm reading coc and there it explained how they were losing more than they were gaining,arrrgg sorry to rant it just pisses me off,there I said it.

  i was just sitting here, reflecting on my day.

  the last month has basically been pretty crappy for me and a rollercoaster of emotions.

  i knew i was in bad shape when my landlord told me i could have absolutely no pets in my apartment.

  KNOW I HAVE SEEN IT ALL

  i just talked to a friend that knows a jw that went to the district convention here in michigan a few weeks ago,this jw's father happens to be an elder.this jw told my friend that there was a person that was handing out fliers saying,"stop supporting child abuse" it went futher to quote dateline and other references about silent lambs.this jw also said that they called the police to try and stop this person from handing out fliers,but all the police could do was get them off the silverdomes property,so then this person was handing out fliers on the sidewalk.this jw went futher and said that the elders were going around trying to find out who had the fliers and confiscate them.this whole thing only went on for a short while as there was a brother that was directing people around this person so they would not get or see the flier.now you know if the role was reversed the jw's would be crying foul,i guess they forget how many times they went to court so they could "preach".

  You also have to wonder,of the people who actually saw the flier how many children saw it as well,then asking the parents what it means.I'm not a parent,but I would be very nervous to even answer or explain it.

  have noticed in my brief time here that the disobedient (jws who associate with us here) are the nastiest, most antagonistic examples of what it is to not display christian love.

  i am sure most are ambivolent, confused, angry about the cult thing, without a full awareness yet.

  but i suggest, to all of us, that we will learn mroe from each other by maintaining respect for one another.
