i'm hoping they are not jw's anymore.
i have sent them an e-mail and i'm waiting for a reply, i'm trying not to get my hopes up, one of this families sons used to be my best friend.

Well since we are on the subject of nice guys/bad guys, what gives with these women I see that are either married to or are dating guys that are just fugly (sorry simon) I mean I know ( without everybody thinking that I feel I'm the man cause I'm not ) I'm better looking than these guys, they dress poorly, I make more money, they generally look dirty, treats'em like crap, and are always sending them to the store for a fourty, what gives!
Azzy it seems to me that the line between nice and doormat are fuzzy at best. I grew up a momma's boy and so I have been around alot of women, and women say they want their man to be a good friend, however I can talk to women and converse with them extremely well Ilisten very well witch women love yet when I have a women friend spill her guts about problems she has and listen intently, afterwards she is so happy to have me as a friend and loves me in her life. I'm not a doormat for her, she knows I stand up for what I believe I don't run to her at the drop of a hat yet later that night she's boinking joe jerkoff all night long who treats her like crap and she's the one who runs to him at the drop of a hat.
So now I feel like if I want any, I gotta be like joe jerkoff.

Do you ever just get frustrated?
by Aztec innot necessarily with anything in particular, but, with the world in general?
watching the news is disturbing, there just seems to be so little compassion or empathy.
most of us are so spoiled and we don't even realize it!

I'm that way about food, I didn't get enough when I was a kid. Now I see the "reality" show where people are put out in the middle of no where and made to do these stupid stunts so they can get a meal, meanwhile in our country or any other people are so hungry they would kill for half of what we consider a meal, when I see people just waist food it really irks me. There is no reason for any person to starve...uh-oh I need to get off my soap box, I'm starting to rant.

What would YOU do?
by SYN inif you were in a situation where you were the manager for a company with two branches, and you were told that you could be promoted to a better office, improved salary etc by becoming regional manager, but only if most of the people in your branch lost their jobs and the rest were incorporated into the other branch, would you take the promotion?.
that's an interesting moral puzzler, isn't it?.
so, is it the money or your employees?.

Well if you don't take the job will you lose the one you have. I have been in a situation where either decision to go or not to go would ultimately lead to the same outcome but with my butt in a sling as well. Take care of number one, it sounds like they are down sizing and you may be one of the down sized.

Well it was a bummer, they are all still in the org. I sent them an e-mail stating that if they were I would not bother them out of respect....I'm totally bummed, I got my hopes up wwaaaayyy to much. I think looking for them did more harm to me than good.

Is There Anything in Life That You Truly Regretted?
by minimus inone thing that stands out for me is how i never went to my own grandmother's burial because, after all she was dead and during the day she died it was on a thursday night and i had 2 parts to handle so i performed them well and at the end gave the congregation, "a progress report" of how my grandmother had been doing since she was in the hospital, suffering from cancer.
that evening i told the congregation that she had died that afternoon.
many people cried at that point but later i was commended by many for not missing a meeting that evening.......

Regrets, sheesh could you have picked a happier topic. Alot of regrets, the biggest...Well there I was at the proverbial fork in the road trying to decide if I should take my fiance' with me or send her home to her parents, you see we got caught in the middle of doing "it", so I felt I loved her so much that I couldn't possibly take her away from Jehovah. I had a spotty record, she didn't so I knew I was the one who would be df'd...and I was. I found out later she got pregnant and was df'd anyway. My heart said take her with, but my head said no, I think that was the first and last time I listened to my head.
