I have heard of quite a few rumors about both of us since leaving. My very favorite is that I started my own church! A church similar to the JW's but with holidays!?!? I seriously considered starting a fake fan page on Facebook for it and trying to get it out so they might spy on it! I do know that they spy on my Facebook page. I always kept it uber-private but apparently forgot to block the profile picture. Somebody saw a picture of wife holding one of our cat's in front of the Christmas tree and used it as ammunition against us! Once we figured this out, we did the opposite of what they would have expected. I made many pictures public including many birthday, Christmas, me with a beard, and political appointment pictures! My wife sent her mom a text saying "we will not be bullied, and have nothing to be ashamed of"! I hope and can be sure at least some of them sneek a peek every so often at my page! *burn*

i've been out for three years now, and i heard that i'm a whack job, i'm gay ( i'm married with a son ), that i lied on a judicial committee, and these rumors were started by my ex-fiance and her meddling congregation.
when i heard about these things i called my p.o or c.o.t.b.e ( mind you i'm disfellowshipped when i called ) .

Bathroom too close to the bookstudy?
by i_drank_the_wine indid any of you ever have the bathroom for your bookstudy too close to where everyone was sitting?
i had one bookstudy like that.
i never used the bathroom there except for one time when i intentionally went in there to make as loud of a poop as possible as an act of rebellion.

Very funny topic! I remember a newer convert had 3 boys that came to our bookstudy. One would almost always go in there for a MINIMUM of 20 minutes! Obviously he was just trying to burn up time. Once, he was in there for a full 30 MINS!!! At some point his older brother (they were both young, maybe 9 and 7) needed to get in there. He went back and started pounding on the door and eventually crying! What a scene! It was in the hallway just outside the big room in the basement of the house we went to! Something else I tell ya!

i find no conformation of this or of tommy james ever being affiliated with the wt but was curious if anyone had ever heard this.. .

I've been doing some online searching and can't find any legitmacy to it. All I can find is that he wrote the song after he became a Christian and it was inspired a chapter of Revelation. I'll keep digging, but I doubt he was ever a JW.
