  Uhh? Which God's that?

  on the back cover of the april 8 issue of awake!

  is a little story about two teenagers 'caught' praying at macdonalds.

  apparently the two teenagers felt the need to explain to an onlooker that they were praying to a 'different' god, or in the words of the article "not just any god".. i'm curious, which god was this?

  BTW, here in the south US, it is not uncommon to find folks praying over their meals.

  tubal ligations

  hello all...been lurking between puppy grooms...just had to post this one!.

  my daughter and x-hubby (inactive jw for many years) went to dinner the other night at grannies( hard nosed jw) and was told that the wtbs says that jw's can no longer have tubal ligations.

  the reasoning was it interferes with the "natural order" of things.

  Sorry ya'll.. When I first looked at the topic I thought it said tubal litagations.... Long day at work.

  Anyhoo... I think that that is still a no,no for a birth control method.

  mine is the story of a lady who was witnessing alone in an apartment building, and aparently she knocked on the door of some rapists/murderers/drug dealers......whatever......she was "saved" by two angels, only visible to the attackers, that accompanied her on that visit.

  or how about the one where a householder had his finger on the trigger of a gun and was just about to pull it when.....all of a sudden....out of nowhere (drumroll please) a witness knocked on his door and offered him "the promise of everlasting life in the new system of thingstm"!!

  6:18. while sexuality is a gift from god, it is not to be expressed without restrain, even within the marriage arrangement....... are they now disfellowshiping people for fornicating within the marriage arrangement?.

  talk about going beyond what the scriptues say.

  bro derek carter has caused something of a stir by marrying a 30yr old pioneer sister that is at least half his age.

  if you ever saw bro carter you would notice a strong resemblance to 'uncle fester' of the adams family.

  I know a brother here in Georgia, (he used to live in upstate NY). Well he married a woman half his age and she wound up having a kid..here he was already 66. Well, needless to say, they are miserable. She suffers from DDD, (used to be MPD). She used to have episodes where she was a prostitute. She one time left her son in the store and went galavanting somewhere in town during an episode of hers. She had problems with sexual abuse and claimed demon problems...
  It's not so much the age as it was the whole "get-married-after-only-knowing-someone-for-three-months-desperation" issue.

  i've been thinking about running a small classified ad for 1-800-why 1914 hotline in the local paper.

  has anyone seen any well-written ads?.

  ditto for any leaflets (like the ``danger at your door""), i.e.

  Need computer help - data recovery

  simon, rw, jan, norm, af, farkel & anyone else this is a cry for help.... i really need help recovering data were the directory is lost.. i have a hard drive that i pulled off of a machine that crashed.

  i have slaved it to a machine running xp in order to recover data files.

  when looking at the hd properties for this drive it shows that 9 gigs out of 20 are used yet will not show a directory of files on the drive.

  Will Norton Ghost work? You might want to try using that software first.. unless like already mentioned, it's too important ..you'll need to get with a pro.
