i thought this artice might be a good read for our friends on jwn, do you see any of the tactics used by the watchtower?

good day!.

..... cults, wonderful on the outside but on the inside are very manipulating.

I remember reading this a few years back. I emailed the link to a JW relative of mine (they can't label me as an apostate because I was never baptized), but my relative emailed me back and said that they did not read the article and that I should be careful what I read. I asked them why they did not read it and they replied, "because it looks like an apostate website."

I wonder if there is any way you could ever get a JW to even read this.

1914 - "A Turning Point In History"?

the february 2014 public wt has a cover series of articles dealing with world war i, and by inference 1914. the articles describe wwi as 'causing the world to be changed' and as "a turning point in history.".

setting the wt's defective 1914 chronology aside for a minute, how do these statements about wwi coincide with the view of the nt?.

certainly wwi was a big war.

Not only would it explain away the old "generation" teaching and buy time, but guess what?! Add 100 years to 1934 and you get 2034. 2034 is 120 years from Jesus' 1914 "inauguration" in heaven, which ties in nicely with the 120 years of Noah!

2034 is also pretty close to 2000 years after the death/resurrection of Jesus if he was 33 and a half when he died.

The GB has all kinds of numbers to work with if they want to make shit up about Bible prophecy.

1,000 Year Reign- Is that in human years or GOD's ?

doesnt sound symbolic, however since a 1,000 (human) years to us is 1 day to god, any proof that the 1,000 year reign will actually be 1,000 human years and not 1,000 god years?

Doesn't sound symbolic? So you mean one day to God in the literal sense is exactly 1,000 revolutions of the earth around the sun? Does this mean God is confined by space and time? If so, what caused the Big Bang?

I'm not trying very hard at all. Those questions popped into my head immediately after reading his comments.

DJS is making the argument that in this hypothetical world, the population would not die off because they would use surrogates to sustain the population. I'm asking legitimate questions that are directly related to his argument.

So in this imaginary world where the majority of the population is gay, does this also mean that the majority of these surrogate children being born will also be gay as well?

Will all the surrogates be adopted children from the minority of the population that is heterosexual? Or will the gay parents actually have sex with someone other than their gay partner with someone of the opposite sex to have children who are blood relatives?

Will the majority of the population be blood relatives to their legal parents?

I'm trying to imagine this world here.

I can imagine they would provide cash incentivies to straight couples to have as many children as possible and pay surrogates handsomely.

So basically, the minority heterosexuals could just make their careers and livings off of having babies and giving them up for adoption? Would any thought be given to the fact that children in this world are basically treated as pieces of property to be sold?

Would there be enough of these minority surrogate mothers willing to participate in the practice of giving their babies up for adoption to sustain the population indefinitely?
