can anyone tell me what the wt teaches about the resurrection of the earthly class?

do they get completely different bodies or is it a resurrection of the present body?

also, since most of scripture is written for the annointed class, and the annointed class are supposed to go to heaven in spirit bodies, how do they handle romans 8:11?.

Can you prove Jesus existed outside of Bible (so called) evidence?

did jesus actually exist?.

without using the bible i'd like to see obvious proof..

It all depends on what you consider proof. Can you prove that any historical figure existed? Can you prove that Socrates existed? How? What is the proof?

glad to be a new member and find others with similarities of background.

some background info on me: my dad became jw when i was young, so i spent maybe a third of my life in the religion.

although i respect everyone's beliefs, i personally knew many genuinely selfless people in my congregation, but the way i was raised, now that i am an adult i am realizing was very sheltered and unrealistic.

just received the book, sat down to start reading it.

All human knowledge and reason can be seen as dependent on faith: faith in our senses, faith in our reason, faith in our memories, and faith in the accounts of events we receive from others. Accordingly, faith can be seen as essential to and inseparable from rationality. According to Rene Descartes, rationality is built first upon the realization of the absolute truth "I think therefore I am," which requires no faith. All other rationalizations are built outward from this realization, and are subject to falsification at any time with the arrival of new evidence.

When you hear a news story from another country, or of an event that you did not personally witness, do you take it at face value as an absolute fact, or do you need some degree of faith in order to believe that the account of the event actually happened and is true? And even if you did witness an event, do you not require some degree of faith in your own senses and memory in order to form an account of the event?

For example, how does one person arrive at the conclusion that Jesus, as a historical figure, did not exist - yet Socrates did?

Thanks. I guess it's for real then. A friend of mine said that one thing that sets the Witnesses apart from most religious groups on the Internet is that they don't ask for money, such as asking for donations or selling books, DVDs, etc. For instance, the Mormons' Online Store:

But I Googled it and found this jwgifts.org which is apparently there just to get money.

Maybe they will actually get the "New Light" right this time about the "other sheep" - that the "other sheep" does not actually refer to some "earthly class" of people, but simply the Gentiles.
