Thanks for the heads-up and the link. After I read Patricia Cornwall's book on the subject, I put my money on Sickert, the artist, who had a good knowledge of Anatomy. But she could never back up her claims by solid evidence, e.g. DNA. I agree, this seems legit. He was one of the police's main suspects and the murders did stop after he was put away in the asylum. Congratulations to Edwards for his dedication and tenacity!

Russia is to alter its military doctrine as a result of the Ukraine crisis and Nato's presence in eastern Europe, a top Russian official says.
Mikhail Popov, a Kremlin adviser, said that deteriorating relations with the US and Nato would be reflected in the updated military strategy.
Nato said on Monday it would boost its presence in eastern Europe to protect its members.
Ukrainian troops are battling pro-Russian rebels in east Ukraine .
Ukraine 's defence minister on Monday accused Russia of launching a "great war" that could claim tens of thousands of lives - claims dismissed by Russia , which denies actively supporting the rebels.
'Aggravating tensions'
Mr Popov, deputy secretary of Russia 's National Security Council, told Russia 's RIA news agency that "the military infrastructure of Nato member states" was "getting closer to [Russian] borders, including via enlargement".
Nato's actions were one of the key "external threats" to Russia , he said.
"Nato's planned action... is evidence of the desire of US and Nato leaders to continue their policy of aggravating tensions with Russia ", Mr Popov said.
There were no details on how the doctrine might change.
Nato announced its plans on Monday for a rapid response force of several thousand troops to protect eastern European members against possible Russian aggression.
The force, to be made up of troops provided by member states on a rotating basis, would be able to be deployed within 48 hours, Nato secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen said.
Military equipment and supplies would be pre-positioned in member states in the east so the force could "travel light, but strike hard if needed", he added.
Mr Rasmussen insisted that the plans would not breach the 1997 Nato-Russia Founding Act , which forbids the presence of permanent bases in eastern and central Europe .
The new measures are set to be approved at a Nato summit in Wales this week.
'Runway destroyed'
The Nato security alliance covers 28 member states, including eastern European countries such as Poland and the Czech Republic . It does not include Ukraine .
Ukraine 's Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk has said that he aims to put the country on the path towards Nato membership.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday said such efforts were "undermining" attempts to reach a peace deal with the rebels.
Crisis talks between Ukraine officials, rebels and Russian envoys ended without agreement on Monday.
Ukraine 's army has been forced to retreat amid a series of gains by pro-Russian rebels in both the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and further south around the port of Mariupol .
On Monday, Ukraine 's army said it had been forced to withdraw from Luhansk airport after it was attacked by Russian tanks.
The acting Luhansk region administration chief Irina Verihina told Ukraine 's 112 TV: "Our troops have withdrawn, but the runway is completely destroyed.
There's no way planes can land there."
The UN's refugee agency estimates that at least 260,000 people have been displaced inside the country, with most of those affected from eastern Ukraine .
'I can take Kiev '
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has accused Russia of "direct, overt aggression against Ukraine ".
Russia has repeatedly denied Ukrainian and Western accusations that it is providing troops and equipment to the rebels.
Meanwhile, a Russian official responded to allegations that Russian President Vladimir Putin had commented: "If I want to, I can take Kiev in two weeks".
The reported comments were said to be made in a phone call to European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, and were reported in Italy 's La Repubblica newspaper.
Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said that whether or not the words were spoken, the quote "was taken out of context and had a totally different meaning", Russia 's Itar-Tass news agency reported.
In response to the Ukraine crisis, Nato is to establish a new rapidly deployable "spearhead" force capable of being deployed within a matter of only two days.
This is all part of a much wider overhaul of Nato's response forces which Nato officials say is not solely linked to Ukraine; it will be capable of deploying anywhere within the alliance to give immediate reassurance and a demonstration of alliance resolve.
For such a force to be effective there will have to be regular exercises and Nato officials note that headquarters and other so-called "enablers" - key logistics elements for example - will need to be based closer to areas of potential threat - for that read closer to Nato's eastern and southern borders. Fuel stocks and ammunition may also need to be pre-positioned further east.

This is one of the reasons I was disfellowshipped. When the elders and circuit overseer came to see me, I insisted that the Society's interpretation is wrong. 1) The beast about to ascend out of the abyss did not exist 1914-1918. The ineffectual League of Nations was only created in 1919. See Revelation book. 2) The trumpet blasts indicate sequence. The two witnesses are killed during the sixth trumpet blast, close to the end (the seventh). 3) Notice the name of the beast. According to their interpretation the beast is the League of Nations/United Nations. In Rev. 17 the beast is "about to ascend out of the abyss," indicating the League of Nations according to their theology. In Rev. 11 he kills the two witnesses after he ascended out of the abyss, pointing to the UN according to their theology. The UN did not exist 1914-1918. 3) During Word War I the witnessing work continued (see Proclaimers book). Well, the Society is never wrong, even when they are wrong.

The concept of inspiration was well-known amongst ancient Hebrews and Greeks. The word theopneustos might be new, but the concept has been around for aeons, especially in Greek culture. No doubt this is where Paul, trained as a Pharisee, picked it up. He was well-read, quoting some of their poems. Consequently he would amalgamate Jewish thought with that of the Greeks. The principle of inspiration (= originating from God) is found in Jewish writings, Biblical as well as Extra-Biblical.
The commandments would be dictated by God ( Ex. 34:27 ) or inscribed by Him on the tablets (24:12; 31:18; 32:16). Jubilees refers to heavenly tablets on which not only the Law (4:5, 32) but the history, too, is already inscribed (23:32; 31:32; 32:28). The work of God in the prophets is specifically called inspiration ( Nu. 24:2–4 ; Hos. 9:7 ): “This doctrine of inspiration guarantees the authority of the Prophets and Writings in the older Synagogue, though this authority is less than that of the Law, which is given by God. While the Law was pre-existent, was taught to Moses by God, and was literally dictated or even written down by God Himself, the Prophets and Writings were inspired by God… ”
Hellenistic Judaism understood the authority of Scripture primarily in the category of inspiration. That similar ideas made their way into Palestinian Judaism, too, may be seen from 4 Esr. 14:22, where the author asks God for the gift of the Holy Spirit that he may be able to write down again just as it was everything that was in the destroyed Law and everything that took place from the beginning of the world (see TDNT, volume VI, p. 455).

Welcome, Jeremiah1958! With the heartache of shunning, you also have the satisfaction that you are free and standing for what is right. Hopefully your family will (eventually) come round and follow in your footsteps. They might not know it now, but their dad is definitely somebody to be proud of.

I didn't bring up the flood, Redvip did. Very interesting stats for an occurrence we don't know anything about. I'm just responding to what he wrote. Actually, it's not relevant to the thread at all.
I said: God doesn't take anybody out of a situation. Perhaps you can give me anything to the contrary. Proof that disproves that statement does not exist, so the statement stands (until it is disproved). So, please, give it your best shot.
Where did the absolutes come from? Referring to history and sacrifice, I compared it to our situation today. Where history is concerned, there are no absolutes, only archaeological evidence, hypotheses and theories. These stand until they are shot down by new evidence. Perhaps you are referring to the time machine? Definitely no absolutes there. Actually it was a joke. To the no imagination I must add, no sense of humor.

I stand corrected. Blood is utilized today to manufacture various products.
Except for named examples, which is hearsay, nobody has been taken out of their situation and placed somewhere else. That's the evidence I was referring to. Perhaps you know of proof to the contrary? The Israelites were led out of Egypt, not removed from their situation. They still had to deal with the Egyptian military, amongst other obstacles.
I prefer Hollywood's version of the flood legend. It explains a lot of things. Darn it, there goes that imagination yet again.
Seriously, RT interviewed a writer that researched the legend of Atlantis. According to Plato this superior civilization, called Atlantis = Island of Atlas, flourished around 8 or 9 thousand years ago. Such a view was also maintained by various Rabbis, which interpreted the the first two verses of Genesis 1 as a unit, rejecting the absolute view of "God created the heavens and the earth." They interpret these as saying: "In the beginning [of the present order of things] God shaped the heavens above and the earth below. Now the earth had become waste and wild [probably by previous catastrophe], etc." See Rotherham's The Emphasized Bible, footnote. This is more in line with current evidence (e.g., the dinosaurs).
Bottom line: Our understanding of history is limited. So what exactly happened there we don't know. Was the flood global or regional? Was Australia included or excluded? According to Ray Franz, Hebr. 'arets = earth/land.

Well, at least I can prove my belief. He hasn't taken anybody out of the situation, except Enoch and Elijah who were exceptions. But we are digressing from the thread, which is about animal sacrifice. This is what we do today, we just don't call it sacrifice. We even discard the blood, just like they did.
God is going to change things. That's why he gave the prophecies. Time will tell.
