  What is the alternative to JW?

  i mean this with all due respect, i would like to hear from genuine people who think jw have it wrong and then what is the truth?.

  im not talking about silly little quibbles here and there.. is jehovah real?

  Acts 5v27

  Revelation 16 tells of the kings of the earth being assembled for the great day, to the place called Har-Mageddon. The actual battle is recorded in 17:14 where they fight the Christ, but because he is in overall authority in the earth he will defeat them. The slaughter is not just because the Heavens want to slaughter someone, but to overcome an active and determined rebellion - not doubters.

  I looked up the reference Rev 17v14. Armageddon seems to involve 10 kings. Who are the 10 kings?

  Help to build a "Guide to Your New Faith"

  i have seen many people ask the question, "if its not the truth what else is there?

  " i imagine that most people want to remain in a christian faith so i want to build a matrix for one to use as a guide in finding a new church if he or she feels a need to worship.

  i personally don't attend any church and i will keep my personal beliefs to myself.

  A church which invites discussion and questions about the Bible would be a good start. One that does not have a human leader.

  Just imagine you prepare a lovely meal and get plenty of drink and invite your friends to join you, but they refuse to eat and drink. How would you feel about those friends?

  Sorry to hear you are feeling stressed.

  Conflict with a close relative made my heart go into arrhythmia last year and it lasted a few weeks. It was quite alarming. I went to the doctor, but by the time I got an appointment it had gone back to normal.

  I hope you are feeling better soon and more able to cope.

  Should I get babtized?

  i know this sounds like a ridiculous question but i was talking with my mom in the car today and of course we got on the topic of getting babtized again.

  she told me that jehovah holds me accountable for my sins regardless of wether i am babtized or not so i have no reason to be holding back because it won't change anything.

  my parents are the type of super strict jw who will shun you just for not being a witness.

  I asked the last pair of JW's who came to my door what baptism meant to them, and they were stuck for words. You could try asking your parents what it all means so that they will know that you are seriously considering the subject. You could buy a lot of time with this. The idea of baptising a child, or pressurising anyone to get baptised is not in the bible.

  Finding time

  is it possible to full time pioneer while working a full time job without making up the hours?

  i know of a brother who recently got married too a pioneer the guy was really desperate to get married because his wife despite her many 'spiritual credentials' has very few christ-like qualities unfortunately, anyway that's besides the point.

  he is a pioneer now and i'm sure he will be a ms soon the organisation likes that type of stuff the 'pioneer couple' so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

  Apathy trolley chat

  i was in a different city this weekend so i decided to natter to 2 bored jws on the apathy trolley.i just nattered, nothing thought provoking or anti witness.

  i was waiting for someone so hard time to spare.what struck me was, that no matter how many times i said that i don't believe in god, they spoke to me as if i did.

  they kept asking me how god would feel about stuff.

  I asked some JW's sitting in the village if they had a bible, but they did not. They were out preaching with no bible! It's like having a plumber call with no tools.

  I have just had a look at theomatics debunked, and it seems to indicate that it is rubbish, so that is 2 different opinions, and probably sorted! Thanks, steve2.

  It looks good on the surface, but is too complicated for me to properly understand, like a lot of things..
