New Light - Two Sticks in Ezekiel - July 2016 Watchtower
by Listener inezekiel 37:15-17 prophesies about two sticks being joined together to become 1. one stick represented the two tribe kingdom of judah and the other stick represented the 10 tribe of israel (ephraim).
the article explains how the coming together of these two sticks meant the reuniting of these tribes in 537 bce.the modern day fulfillment was previously taught to mean that the anointed had once again come together in unity in these last days.the july watchtower now explains that one stick, the stick of judah, represents the anointed and the other stick, the stick of ephraim, represents the other sheep.
they further explain that since 1919 god's people have gradually reunited to become one flock.they are now saying that the other sheep are represented by 10 tribes of israel.

If they do get everyone to take the bread and wine, what about all those who have died rejecting it? -

The memorial songs sucked.
by DATA-DOG ini don't know who the idiots are that write, or approve these songs, ( the creative team of lett and tomo??
) but they suck!!
there is a line in the first song ( # 147 ) that blatantly contradicts the wtbts dogma of the heavenly calling being an invitation as opposed to a sure thing.

My mother has nervous breakdown because we missed the memorial.
by cookiemaster inmy parents insisted that i'd take them to the memorial.
my cousin said he'd come too and another brother who doesn't have a car begged to join.
i was dreading having to go through exactly the same thing again.

If you highlight the text and right click it brings down a menu where you can click on 'translate'.It is not intended for those who would be distant or prevented to come has this (Festival) boring to meet a month later just as it was possible for the Hebrews who could not celebrate the Passover instituted before the release of Egypt.(NUM. 9:11-14) [...] It is in the second month, on the fourteenth day in the evening, that they prepare. They will eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs cakes. 12. they must leave nothing until the morning, and they did not break a bone. Under the Ordinance of the Passover, they will prepare it. 13 but when the man was pure or was not travelling, [if] it failed to prepare the Paschal sacrifice, then this soul there will have to be deducted from his people, because it had failed in its fixed time the offering of Jehovah. This man will answer for her sin. 14 '' ' and if a foreign resident resides with you as a foreigner, he must also prepare the Paschal sacrifice to Jehovah. " Under the Ordinance of the Passover and under his rule, so will he. There for you as an order, both for the foreign resident for the native of the country. ’ ”What this text mentions is that these are all the Hebrews but also all foreign residents who had to participate has this commemoration -. -

Partaking of emblems
by sloppyjoe2 inthis year will be my first for by going to the memorial.
i will get asked by my parents how i can deny jesus even if i don't believe the end is close.
my thoughts on this are as follows, bear in mind saying it's all make believe is not an option.. i think that jesus intended for everyone to eat the bread and drink the wine.

Is it not a little presumptuous for people to decide who goes to heaven and who stops here? Does God have any say in the matter? -

A friend had some JW's knock at his door and satan was discussed. My friend kept referring to satan as 'Old Nick'. The JW's seemed rather upset by this. Is the JW regard for satan a form of worship? -

I agree with FayeDunaway, that if you have been baptised into Christ and don't take the bread and wine you are rejecting his sacrifice and are not eligible for everlasting life. John 6 v 53-54.
If you don't believe in any of it then live your life and be happy.

Acts 5v27
Revelation 16 tells of the kings of the earth being assembled for the great day, to the place called Har-Mageddon. The actual battle is recorded in 17:14 where they fight the Christ, but because he is in overall authority in the earth he will defeat them. The slaughter is not just because the Heavens want to slaughter someone, but to overcome an active and determined rebellion - not doubters.
I looked up the reference Rev 17v14. Armageddon seems to involve 10 kings. Who are the 10 kings?

Help to build a "Guide to Your New Faith"
by Defianttruth ini have seen many people ask the question, "if its not the truth what else is there?
" i imagine that most people want to remain in a christian faith so i want to build a matrix for one to use as a guide in finding a new church if he or she feels a need to worship.
i personally don't attend any church and i will keep my personal beliefs to myself.

A church which invites discussion and questions about the Bible would be a good start. One that does not have a human leader. -

Superstitious people
by biblexaminer inthe world is filled with superstitious people.
and some of the most superstitious are jehovah's witnesses.. remember, i didn't say they alone are the most superstitious, nor did i say they are on an island.
how do we know that this is true?

Just imagine you prepare a lovely meal and get plenty of drink and invite your friends to join you, but they refuse to eat and drink. How would you feel about those friends? -

Sorry to hear you are feeling stressed.
Conflict with a close relative made my heart go into arrhythmia last year and it lasted a few weeks. It was quite alarming. I went to the doctor, but by the time I got an appointment it had gone back to normal.
I hope you are feeling better soon and more able to cope.
