The content was about how much they hated jehovah and now i could understand how it feels to be kiked out. They very much wer trying to appeal to me as to feel sorry for them-sort of us being in the same boat thiiing. I said nothing to them-being terrifed as hell. That is it. Not one word from thme since.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I brought this to this froum because we all have one thing in common-we were either raised in truth or came to the JW teachings at some point. So asking a queston about the demons in this forum did not seem like a crazy thing to do. I apreciate that some may be concerned about my health, but i didn't think i'd be given advice to see a psychiatrist just because i brought up subject of demons. I have only posted few times here, and in it i have sied i found this forum through silent lambs. I have also said i have been in therapy for 14 yrs. I have-it is true. So i know i am not crazy-distressed true-but not crazy. I think a great deal of the "demom atacks" ahve been the sleep paralysis-it is very real and frightining. However, some things i can not explain away that easy. i have co weorkers suggest i have a guardian angel-now that sounds crazy to me , but u would be surprised how many people believe in that. I'm of the belief that a spirit world does exist. And i think they do walk among us. I do for sure think Jw thiking has made some of the people i have known do th crazist things (like throw out everything in their house they had bought at garage sale becasue it might be possessed). I do try to avoid the occult because i do believe the demons exist. I don't thik JW are special targets fro them though. .

yes it is disturbing when these things hapen. It does not always hapen in bed while sleeping-there have been times things happen i the stark light of day. And yes i know about sleep paraylis and do beleive that it does expalin a LOT of 'demon attacks". And yes Jw do slant the unexplained to demons wheras others slant it to aliens and the ghosts. I think the JW foster an unhealthy interest in therse things. I think hat is probably why i was intrigued enough to consult a psychic. but all i found out is basically they are tluly a waste of time and money. I've had people at work tell me about encounters they had with angels. Once while working , a coworker and i both saw "something" cross the hall at he same time. We felt. glad we'd both seen it. As i said-i hear less alien or ghosts stufff and more angel storries now. Maybe it runs in trends. wednesday

the watchtower has left me with guilty feelings that i find hard to cope with at times.

no i take my screename from the old childhood rhyme "wednesday's child is full of woe" because that is how i have felt for so long. I've been in therapy so long(14 yrs) that i may hold the record. The doc dx post tramatic stress disorder. I don't know anyjthing but jw thinking. I have tried to talk to my husband and he says"So what do u want to do-be a baptist-u know those people are corupt".I told him today that if it came to a life and death situation wih blood-i was going to save his life.My therapist is jewish and does not understand this at all. I still believe jehovah is God and pray to him. And i believe he helps me. I have no desire to join another religion. I still believe some of the basic doctries JW taught me. /Ther seems to be no place for me to "be". wednesday

Hi, I too want to welcome u. i just found this board a few days ago myself. It sounds like u were able to make a break from the Jw's-did u DA yourself or have u been DF? I have noticed from reading that the most successful people make clean breaks. some cannot. that is a lot of us. I am one of the born and raised in truth people. I have been inactive so long -well no one cares really much. what i do-however i bet if i put up a xmas tree they'd finally make a call to my home. be glad u got out while u are still young. Not that I am older than dirt-but i marrried in teens and now am a young grandmojther.(and a darn cute one:) I I too have have researched some xjw sites. So far this one seems to be the friendliest-especially for those of us still trappped in the org.
Actually it was Silent lambs that got me in touch with this sight. i really admire what they are doing.And i admire people who can idnetify themselfs and not fear.
Sometimes it takes a while to get "out". I personally have been in therapy for 14 years. I'm not sure if that is a world record:) Anyway, when i saw your into, i also thought i would intrduce myself.

Could a person get disfellowshipped for. . .
by StinkyPantz inallowing their 23 year old child to live at home even though this child makes enough money to support themselves and the parent doesn't need their financial support?.
i ask because my former best friend (who betrayed me to the elders) still lives with her mom.
she moved in a month before she got df'd even though her mom knew she was close to getting df'd.

I've been "in the truth" for a looooog time and i have seen a lot. I have noticed that whether u get DF or not or shunned or not-DEPENDS ON WHO U ARE. JW will stand by some people and others will throw to the wolves. many times it has to with position and money. I have seen people reinstated and treated terribly and never even given a chance. I have seen people screw up big times and several times and still happily be welcomed back. Who in the world knows? When i was DF my mom never agreed with JW plicy and didn't shun me. I never shunned my sons. I think on some things it is better to follow your natuarl instincts-they will change the policy at some point anyhow.
I'm sorry your mom is shunning you. I know u want it to be equal for all. But it's not. some get away with all kinds of stuff. They will probably tell u to mind your own business and the matter has been dealt with. I can almost guantree that. Try not to waste too much time being bitter. And beleive me i speak form experience.
I once wanted revenge so bad i endured a year of DF so i could get reinstated and in the good graces of everyone. Only then was i able to extract some revenge. But it "ate me up" and it will u too.

Well i guess i must have been the dumbest JW ever-but our family always celebrated thanksgivng. Now we didn't call it that, it was dinner (we have to eat-and all those turkeys on sale!). I would always find myself spending a lot of money at Xmas time-buying gifts for myself and everybody. Beleive it or not, no one ever said anything to us about the thanksgivng thing-although last couple of years my brother would make a snide remak about "having thnaksging dinner?".At work i started particapating in stuff-hell, no one cares if if ever come back to the hall. they haven't called on us in years.We still occ. attend a meeting. Also now that i am a new garandma(a young and cute one too :)) i find myself buying birthdays(cause my kids hate JWs and have wasted no time doing anything they wanted to). The real problem is my husband-he jsut can't leave this org. it is all we've ever known and he still beleives it is the truth despite the hurt they have casued in our lives. talk about catch 22 or a rock and hard place?
But u know i think it is ok to have thanksgivng dindner with a relative if u dont want to stumble them. lol

So one cannot be "inactive" . They will "get you" one way or the other. It is incredible that anything could have so much power. I am currently inactive-occ attend a meeting. I have a lot of issues with JW's but apparently I am on their sh*t list as no one has called at my home in years. It is like they are just waiting and hoping i"ll make any mistake so they can offically oust me. Can't one even lead a life without being harassed by Jw's if one is inactive?
the stuff about the internet is true. For years I have known their are JW spies watching these boards and I even had a list of of known apostate e-mail addys'(but lost it on a computer crash) . I got them from someone in an Aol chat room for x-jw's. This was being done to protect innocent JW from being taken in by Xjw's pretending to be Real JW's.I remember it being openly discused at he hall several years ago(after the meeting of course, the thrust of the discussion being-we know who u are and we'll get u) . Am i crazy or is this paranoid? Now if they can get your e-mail addy-how far will they go to f find out out who u are? I guess further than i imagined.
