  What happens on JWD!

  sometimes you meet people that care about you.

  then you find out they live across town!

  then you find out you have soooooo much in common.....we have lost pretty much all our "friends"......maybe we have moved.......maybe we are dfd.....maybe be we have been marked like me.......thank you jwd.....and changeling!

  Warning To All Posters Here!!!

  i just found out that a dear friend of mine was outed by a poster on this board!!!

  i am soooooo angry and disgusted it's hard to contain at the moment!

  so to all those out there that are trying to fade and get other family members out, don't let anyone know who you are!!!

  not sure but I tend to be wary of people who are too quick to become best friends and want personal info right away . That does not mean that on occasion i haven't met someone and felt a connection and let them see into my soul- i have on occ but very seldom. I think a person should be trusting but remember if you put it on a public board -anyone can read it. I was so tempted to reveal some info about an abuser once and thank goodness there is a poster here who talked me back to my senses. I would have regretted it. then again I once pm'd someone for personal info b/c i was pretty sure i knew them- and i did- and i had no ill intents. exceptions to any rule.

  black sheep

  many of us live vicariously in wonderful places on the other side of the globe. we are not telling "untruths"

  you do have to be careful, you can get outed. it has happened before. also if you show up at an apostafest and someone takes your pic. you never know where that pic will end up.

  why would someone do this? some people just get their kicks by hurting others. maybe their life is miserable and they just want others to suffer too. or maybe they are "super dub" . ( enlisted in the army of the night) maybe someone outed them . maybe they are nuts.

  Too busy being JWs to be Christians!!

  some jws are so busy being jws, they have forgotten how to be christians.

  the wts obsession with hours has led to the sick, elderly and depressed receiving rare visits because the time can't be counted.

  if the wt allowed the time to be counted - i wonder how many visits these ones would suddenly start receiving?

  the essential reason i quit going in FS- i felt pain in my heart. I would not be party to them deceiving and hurting another person. it was a one person strike. I quit fs years before i quit going to the meetings.

  they" strain at a gnat and swallow a camel". unfortunately a lot of religion is similar.

  i read about the high incidents of mental illness and psychiatric disorders among jehovah's witnesses and it .

  started me thinking about why this is and how so.

  then i made this list and realized how much a child's psyche.

  Most certainly agree with chemical imbalance view on a lot of mental illness.This is in fact how the parity laws are able to be enforced. BC it's a medical condition it has to be treated the same as any other medical condition as far as payment. these laws are enforced in about 46 states to some degree or anther. Some states interpret the law more liberally than others..

  I do think however that being raised in a severe demanding environment predisposes one to these illness. If a child is treated harshly and without a lot of love or Df at a early age it can certainly push one to a breakdown.

  Being a social outcast at school does not help either. Many suffer from very low self esteem issues. many are emotionally behind their peers. not being able to go to college is huge problem.marrying too young, and we can just continue on with the problems jws kids face.

  when religious people breakdown a lot of times they have religious delusions as opposed to the others who feel the FBI is following them or alien's have abducted them.

  A JC meeting is not good for anyone's mental health.

  I was watching the WE channel last night. They had a program on "women who say they have had alien abductions." I was mostly watching for amusement, but a young woman named Kristina said something that caught my attention. She said she had episodes as a child where she would just wander off and "awaken" In a field. Her parents, she said ,were religious and told her it was demons attacking her. She later felt it was an alien abduction. I felt most likely it was dissociation from some very severe trauma. But when she mentioned demons i listened more carefully. It seemed odd that she never mentioned her parents again. She had a child but was a single mom, the father was still prvoding emotional support. .There was no family in the picture and not too many friends. It just sounded like a young woman who had been DF and abandoned by her family. anyway, now she runs some kind of online thing to help others with alien abductions. poor thing, god knows what really happened to her.

  Got some new inspection stickers and 1/2 of the staff are JW"S

  i went to garland to the dps office to get some more obd and asm stickers for state vehicle emmissions.

  i overheard the conversation about the watchtower and asked if they were jw's.

  they said yes and i told them i used to be.. i received a wt and an awake and received a visit at my shop on saturday.

  of course, that meant the heavy metal that was common at that time.

  " Bat out of hell" Meat Loaf (written by Jim Steinman.) The cover of the album was wicked looking-a sliver Harley type bike, heading straight into hell. I was terrified that it was satanic. It really is not bad. Jim Steinman talks about it many times and he says that he got his inspiration for the song from the old song "Tell laura I love her" or "Teen angel" it just sounds scary. It's really a love song, well a love song with a silver motorcycle going into hell and all that. pretty "cool" song. you should see him preform it. It is about 10 minutes long i think

  He probably sweats off 10 pounds just doing the song.

  I recall when the great apostasy of 1980 happened we all heard that they made all the Bethel boys burn or throw away all their bad albums. I threw away this original 1978 vinyl Meat loaf album. I could have cried. But, years later one of my kids saw one at a garage sale and got it for me.

  this is not a movie but theater that has been put on video. the Greater Tuna and a Tuna Christmas. I just love those guys, hysterical. Tuna they say is the smallest town in Texas. also saw them at the majestic doing "red white and blue tune" as far as i know not out on video.
