I think the silent lambs site might be right for her at this time.- however i understand they do still agree with jws teachings. ( I really did not understand that- wow) If she just read the "best of" I'd recommend that. But with the board in the flux it's in she may be more upset than helped by staying here.

Hi friends in this difficult time..
by Mr Anderson inhi i would like to recommend this web site as a possible alternative for when this site closes.
http://shelter.jwreform.org it is free and jws and xjws as well as other faiths are 100% welcome.
its target audience are jws and xjw primarily but as jesus wasn't exclusive so nor is this site.

I looked at the site. They are the jw reform group. that may be fine for some. The site is for
jws in good standing
those that have left by DA or DF due to questioning the beliefs of the org (apostasy) ( note the caste system regarding DF/DA)
those of any other religions who are interested
So I can't be sure but it would seem that if anyone was DF over any reason other than questioning the beliefs of jws, they are probably not welcome.
I actually like the site, it seems nice and is probably safe, but if you are trying to leave jws behind, probably not the place you want to go.
If you really do like jws and just want them to reform- then that is your place. They seem honest and and appear to be trying really hard to keep the place safe. But folks, it is jw speak. Know that upfront.
Not my place but maybe you would like it.
at one time i would have loved that site, but that was long ago and far away.

Say a prayer for the falling angels
Stem the tide of the rising waters
Toll a bell for the broken hearted
Burn a torch for your sons and daughters
The endless night has got a hold of me
Dark days are pulling me forward
And all the tears are washing over me-
I'm crying, lost forever-
In a future that ain't what it used to be

what angers you about the truth
by stillajwexelder inthis angers me .
elders who will not make shepherding calls to comfort their brothers and sisters but as soon as that brother or sister puts one little foot out of line those same f-----g (sorry about the language but it really angers me ) elders can not move fast enough to form a judicial committee and then are so unmerciful - it makes me want to vomit literally

Extreme lack of love and general human kindness to the flock. Jesus ministry was all about love and kindness. He welcomed people and did not show partiality. When saw the difference between the inner sanctum and the peasants - I was disgusted. I refused to ever go in FS again. That was over 10 yrs before I finally stepped out the literally door of the KH. They are two faced and parcel out "justice" on a whim not considering what they are doing to others lives. Jehovah's holy spirit running things- not likely.

I can recall from the 50- 80's especially , they did. There are too many of us who remember this , or had it happen to themselves for it to be denied.

Was There Any 1 Thread or Post or Subject That REALLY Got You Thinking???
by minimus infor me, i was attracted to concrete proofs, facts, published information that showed conclusively the errors of the watchtower.
i love seeing posts that prove the watchtower's hypocrisy.
i very much enjoyed reading anything historical from pre-bible students time to the present day.

Goodbye Fred...
by hillary_step inor should i say goodbye folks.
my posting days on xjw sites are over.. thanks to everybody for making this place so vibrant, informative and at times invigorating.
an special thanks of course to simon and angharad, of whom too many expected too much and who, despite our differing viewpoints at times, have been trustworthy friends to me.

Identify three persons that helped mold you in to who you are today.

An elder who was a mentor. He taught me " nothing is fair and you have no rights" I thank him for not sugar coating reality.
A psychologist from the middle east. Without this person I would not be here today, as I was a broken, fractured soul when he met me.
A jws friend from England who " adopted me" as my own family had little interest in me. Of course that got me into jws, ( my family were inactive jws- -) but without her I'd been ended up on the streets. Fair is fair.
That's why I put up that song in Tyrone's "to sir with love" thread. . The Meat Loaf song " Objects in the rear view mirror".
