but why didn't they want to speak out against a molester?
why did they not happily say,"yes, ole brother gilbert told us what he did"?
I never even thought about it from a financial point of view, but you're right. Ironically, I think that if they DID report pedophiles to the police (whether they were required by law or not) and disfellowshipped them, you'd have very, very few Witnesses who would be interested in sueing the OrganizationII have always been told " the answer is MONEY."

i've had this theory for some time and alluded to it occassionally but have never explored it in detail.. it is of course a huge generalisation so no, not everyone will fit into the boxes and i'd like people's opinion.
i don't know everyone's circumstances so it's based on a small sample of some of those i do know something about.
it could be completely wrong, it's just an idea.. basically, i have seen a difference between some of those ex-jws who walked out vs those who were kicked out.. the most bitter and obsessive seem to be the kicked out and, i must add, those who were legitimately kicked out.
Someone seducing (vulnerable / emotionally naive) young girls in the congregation, thought not a crime, is maybe not as 'wronged' if they are DF'd. Equally so the example of an elder abusing his position and knowledge of a couple's problems to commit adultery with the wife. There are some behaviours that are generally regarded as poor within general society.

I won't comment on anything but the part about she hurt her back at work and insurance guys are spying on her. That is totally and most likely true. They do it all the time. have known 2 people who did that for a living. I have heard all the stories they have told.
also, if you have kids who depend on her income, you may won't to ask the mods to remove this thread as it could cost her the workers comp. They also follow the spouse around b/c sometime an spouse or xspouse likes to get revenge and will rat out or lie to hurt the other spouse.

I very much like Jung . I use a little deck called "the wisdom well" that is based on Jung archetypes. It's very inexpensive and can be purchased form amazon or similar on line book stores. I found mine at at half price book store. I believe Carl Jung has a website ( his students, etc followers have it up) and it is nice.I will look for the link . I also found Jung speaking on you tube
