ok yadrif, i'll bite. what kind of things do u expect to see changed in the org? I am sort of similar-i'm not going back until they admit and apologize for destroying so many peoples lives./and change some polices. Which means , i'm probably never going back. My husband sees it too, but he stiill stubbornly holds out hope for the org, but he is inactive and only really goes to meetings-but unfortuely upholds jw doctrine.

To the US Military
by freedom96 inthere have been many postings regarding the possible war with iraq.
there are many strong apposing views, as to be expected.. i personally am going to thank all those who are in the military; my hat is off to you, and i respect what you do, and i am very thankful.
you are the ones that must go out there and defend our freedoms.. i don't think most people desire war, but sometimes there seems to be little choice.

by minimus inwhen you get baptized, you are expected to swallow a multitude of beliefs that either you never really understood or simply didn't truly believe in.
when going over questions for baptism, almost nobody understood the concept of the"faithful and discreet slave".
yet after it was attempted to explain this mumbo-jumbo, every candidate meekly just went along with the explanation without ever truly understanding the fallacy.

I had a real problem with all the typical/atypical stuff, just sounded like they just made that stuff up-
i never took a lot of "Bablyon the Great book". serious, all those strange interpertations of dreams.
I knew shunning was wrong and never practiced it-no one liked me much-but i did speak to people when i saw them on the street.
ingorned all counsel about music and movies. saw what i wanted.
did not agree with BD and most holidays b/c most of the time they are harmless. but kept the peace and never celebrated any except thanksgiving, and new years.
I and my husband never believed 1975. I was even inactive in that year and him too, and we could have cared less.If the end came-so be it.
always thought jw were wrong-if there is an armageddon then a lot more people will survive than jws say.
ingnored all that stuff about the resureecction(xsp) and how they could not marry-jw always changing their minds anyway-
ignored all the stuff about what husbands and wifes should do/not do in their bedroom.
finally came to see elders for what they were, AHOLES WITH A TITLE.

New Literature No Longer Announced in km!
by GermanXJW inat least the german edition of "our kingdom ministry" says that new literature is no longer announced in the km.
instead there will be a letter from the society that is read and shown at the announcement board.. maybe they want to use the space in the km for other things.
or they just want keep those informed that attend meetings.

Mnay years ago, i remermber , the WTS saying a time would come when the only way u may even know where the next meeeting would be held would be if u were at the previous meeting. The WTS is probably starting to tighten the noose-and restrict who finds out about the publicatioons. So.. to keep xjws/government. form haivng info. Sounds like we are slowly at teh start of sort of undergound thing. they did it during ww2.

Young 'Hovahs Out in Field Service.....

i'm also in a quiet dallas burb,and no sign of jw on the streets..I have seen them at walmat, and once saw them at parkland hospital with a table set up.Several yrs ago now, i remember at the service meeting them saying that service would have to be more creative and realistic. (ie go when people are home) For a time i was seeing evening witnessing.They also stop in docs offices.
Older jws were very bold. A relative of mine who is quite old tells tales of putting his foot in doors, and having debates at the doors.My grandparents/parents were very active during the ww2 era, with all the presecution. . Actually i remember some of that too in the 60'-70. I actually remember using the bible.However, as the 80's approached, i remember one saturday am deciding to use the bible instead of offering the mag combo. i got told to stick with mags b/c that is what the wts said to do on saturday.

Poster desperately needs support and assistance
by refiners fire inthe jehovahs witness church took away all my ability to speak normally to, and to interact normally,with girls.
because of this i have an issue with sex and feel very sorry for myself, believing i have been deprived of a normal, sexually promiscuous, youth.
this has caused me much pain and suffering,and many sleepless and unhappy lonely nights in my life.

yes i am tech still in-inactive but not da/df. I refuse to go to any meetings. My hubby, still occ attends a meetings nd he defends the org. So far they are leaving us alone.
I don't like what jws are doing, but i'm just can't see how doctrines like the trinity and hellfire and everyone going to heaven can be right. I really have no doubts, hellfire, as screamed form the stages of baptist preachers does not exist at all. Same for trinity. But i am starting to worry about the heaven thing. The bible does says christians have a heavenly hope. However, that is supposed to be for annointed. I ask my husband about what if we did go to heven-he says-well who is supposed to be here on earth?
anyway i'm lookig for some major changes in org next couple years. I think probably someone will win a lawsuit or 2 and set them back some cash.

Singing in the Kingdon Hall - laughing
by Pepper inoh my god, i went to a meeting a year ago, with my girl friend, in a town back east i live in utah, i sing in night clubs and bars and have a really great time.
i go to the hall and it comes time to sing, now i am used to really letting it all hang out when i sing, so i give it all i got, i seen all these's heads turn and look at me, they could tell right off the bat that i am not a good jw cause i have a beard like jesus wears, but i know the tunes because i was raised listioning to them, i loved it, they don't really sing i noticed, its sad, cause singing could be so much a part of worship, but its like you can't even do that cause if your a good singer you might stumble the others cause it may be competion, what a bunch of bs, the po, looked down his nose cause i was singing like i had life in me .

years ago, i had a friend visting at my home. We diecided to sing kingdom songs. they were on vinyl then(yeah i'm old). My husband put the record on and the sis and i were desperately trying to sing this song-but couldn' quite figure out why it sounded odd. My husband had put he speed form 45 to 78 and we just sang faster to keep up. he laughed for days about that. We had no idea why we couldn"t keep up.

i probably have dementia or i could remember some more. I swear "i seen it with my own eyes'. Oh the billy bobs was in dallas, tx.. we had a relatively young elder group and they like to have a good time.
the sis who wanted to let "our spirit mingle" was so dumb. Someone told her "we don't do that-that's spiritism", she didn't get it. she was into new age stuff and jw-until they corrected her.
And jehovah's knows- i really did wish i was home washing my car - u know how the average jw yard and car looked.
Oh i have an relative who tells the tale of one time he called satan out with an owija board. He said satan tried to knock him down and he challenged him. This relative has told this story all his life-he's quite old now. Witnesses from the an era gone by were quite fiesty.

yes LB, eating more, if u are currently starving yourself. your body shuts down and goes into sort a starvation mode and will hang onto every bit of fat it can. What i did was start eating good food, the rright stuff, about every 4-5 hurs. This keeps your insulin levels level and your body will then start to burn fat.. I swear it works, ask any woman who barely eats and can't lose an ounce.
