hi, i've been reading through some of this forum, and it's certainly got more information than anywhere else i've found.
so i'm hoping that perhaps someone here might be able to give me some answers/ideas on a situation that is really puzzling me.. i live in melbourne, australia, with my husband of 12 years, and no kids.
for the past 6 months i've been living next door to my neighbours, unaware that they are jw's.
they sound like Jw that have drifted away and just can't get out of the jw mindset-or else they are afraid they'll be DF.Lots of jw are screwed up in their family life. Either way, they are not active and don't represent the average jw.
As far as the husband making obsence remakrs, handle that the same way u would anyone else, Tell hiim u do not appreciate it, and to stop it immediately.
Forget their religion, if u are unhappy with their behaviror, talk to them. Work it out as neighbors. Forget their religion.. especially since they are not trying to wintess to u.

i scored 100% form MORMON and the Bahi faith rikght below it, , JW were down the line about the 5th. bottom of lit is buddism, new age stuff
But really, all my beliefs are colored by jw thinking, so for me it isn't;t too accurate at this point.
does the wt and jw big boys tolerate alcoholism among themselves?.
alcohol is very popular among jw heavy-weights and their wives.
ask any bethelite.
I think this may be a local thing b/c here in texas, many areas are dry around dallas. Growing up.,
alochol was done at parties , excessive was not. Now, people do drink, but it is still pretty tame. Lot of baptist infulence around here.
don't get me wrong, i'm not one to actively persecute jw's, i'm just wondering what you guys think is the best agrument/point to use when a pesky brother or sister just won't leave you alone.
normally, i am willing to listen to their drivel out of respect (even though i have no respect for the wt) but there are times when i am not in the mood to hear them babble.
i normally bring up the 1914 generation point, and it normally works.

I knew a sis who read the texts and used them as sort of a hororscope. Seriously, she would read them and think they had some real application to her personal day-also knew an elder who believed that he was getting messages form jehovah from the awake-telling him it do certain things.

this is wednesday not blondie . Temp the little boxes that let u go to your threads are out, so is the sig line . Simon said it would all be restored when he revamps the board i think this weekend. If i wasnt tech challenged, i'd post u a link to the thread.

my hubby and i spent the day with our adoreable gandkids. We went to see "the lion King" at the IMAX theater. They enjoyed it and so did we. We managed to buy CD's posters, T-shirts-the works.
It is a good day. Later, Grandpa and i will have some fun.

look under the thread simon started and look under the one Gumby started. seems with this new change coming up on the board, simon has done a bit of tweeking for the moment.he says it will all return and more with new software.
