  On the fading of 1914 ............

  forgetful as i am, i just forgot the title of the new brochure issued at this summer's conventions, but it is something like "keep on the watch", and it deals with the imminent return of christ, the signs of our times, and the need for being on the watch, being prepared for the "any day now" return.. the signs of our times are mentioned, but not earthquakes, so they are "out" again, it seems.

  but, the first pages make out the basis for the belief in our days being the last ones, the final ones, and 607 is mentioned, 539 and 537 - but not 1914, not the "seven times" or "2520 years".. do you remember 1995, when the "generation change" came?

  in summer, the "knowledge" book was issued, and it also dealt with the signs etc., but for the first time, there was no mention of the then "present truth" that some alive in 1914 would still be alive and witness the return.

  Around the time Freddy Franz died a lot of thing started to take speed, such as redefinition of "generation" and associating with the UN despite the fact it is a "beast". All that demostrate a systematic, planned, change in doctrines and teachings.for obvious reasons.

  We Should Go On The Offensive Against The Elders That Come After Us!

  instead of allowing the elders to run roughshod over us, i think we should start thinking of how to get to them before they try to impose their will upon us.

  some may not care if the elders and society suddenly went after us.

  but just out of principle, we should not let them do anything they want to us in their shunning treatment.

  If they are saying no longer one of JWs it could mean just a person of the nations. We still talk to people of the nations.

  Not only the WT tell jw to limit contact with "people of the nations", but one JW who they consider no longer one JW is a diffeent story, it is like they have repudiated, so if no "longer one of us he/she is against us", by becoming inactive he has rejected the teachings etc etc

  I could be completely wrong but I just dont see things going that way.

  Just wait and see, it not going to be overnight... actually it is being done right now to some degree, it is an unwritten rule which the don't they enforce, those who want privileges have been doing it for a long time. Their opinion is that an inactive ja must be doing some secret thing.

  If they start DAing folks for being inactive and we treat them like they are DF'd it seems like it would piss too many r & fers off.

  Not really, besides they are legally and technically right to consider an inactive as not one member of the jw religion therefore...

  Powerfull in what area?. Besides many head of states are not powerful it is the institution they represent, btw elected by the influence of real powerful players. G.W.Bush will have a lot less power four yeas from now but Bill Gates, drug lords, and rich Saudits will keep theirs.

  A letter to the Secretary certified with signature confirmation quoting some of the courts order in the case agains the WT by Barbara or any other more apropriate.

  State that you "heard" that an announcement was made mentioning your name, that since you are a lover of the truth, despite what other may think about, you are really concerned about your reputation and worry being demafed... therefore you want elders to confirm or if is just gossip... or an spin about the case regarding your mother.

  The "Finished Mystery" and similar books such as the one title 'religion a racket etc' were real stupidity, wheter they trully beleive or not, surely it was to gain followers by exposing negative info about the 'competition', not to mention that Russel, Rutherford etc were probably initially sincere who developed into intelligent nuts .

  That is what happens to most people i have known that takes bible too seriously, then NOT being able to make sense of it they loose their own senses. LOL

  Just like anything in life... remember the comics about the crazy scientific in his lab...
