interesting reading i thought.. no wonder high control religious groups discourage education if there are studies that show conclusively that people with higher educations/intelligence are more likely to not believe in god at all!.
religiousness and intelligence is a subject of studies on the social correlates of intelligence and iq.
I agree with Aldsould and Nark,
I don't know how 'they' define religion or a religious person,
but to me me being a humanist is a religion... dont have to be connected with rituals, doctrines, dogmas.
What real educated people do is beleive in less crap and become more practical.

dancing is a nice way to express feelings and let out steam.

unfortunately i am very awkward at dancing though i tried to learn some latin a couple of times because i like latin music.

my son, just recently coming back into my life, told me he had his done,,,,and i was wondering,,any here know of theirs, and how it might have affected their lives, their outlook, etc.

well, i have been sorting through thousands of files i have collected over the last 10 years about jws and the wts.
it is going to take a while but eventually elsewhere will get them.
but every now and then i will post something that i had no idea i had.. like this little gem.. it was very common for the media to be in attendance at the dcs.

the wt book quote Dean Acheson, ex usa secretary of state saying in 1960,

I think the wt book also quoted another book titled "famine 1975" from another 'wordly' authority.
so jw started running to the "hills" as the "sign" was clear ( what sign?, ask Carl) .
If i know any history... iI dont know what mr Acheson had in mind or the context but n relative terms the world today is not more dangerous to live in than a few thounsand years ago.
