20??'s for Computer Programmers
by DanTheMan inwell at 34 years of age i'm still wondering what i'm going to do with my life, career-wise.. i have done well in college courses i've taken in math, computer programming, and logic.
also i have a fair amount of experience working as an end-user of various database programs used by my previous and current employers, and i have found that i have a good intuitive knack for understanding the underlying logic that makes them do what they do.
so, i think that i have the mental goods necessary to be a good computer programmer, in fact i feel that i could be a pretty damn good one.. but, with all the out-sourcing, i'm wondering if american computer programmers are a dying breed that will eventually be completely supplanted by indian, chinese, and russian programmers.. so to those of you americans who currently work in the field, do you think that it is foolish to pursue a degree in computer science, given current trends?

Depression & Jehovah's Witnesses
by minimus inis it me or does it seem that nearly all jws go through depression in varying ways??
i'm not talking about what the average person could deal with because of a loss of a loved one or a job termination, etc.
i'm referring to being depressed because you're a jehovah's witness.

HELL NO.
i have "witnessed" a whole bunch going from depression to totally INSANE, leterally.
a few vistis to mental profesional, not neccesarily psyquiactric but psycology, will pull them out their trouble.
But they are too proud or brainwashed to go to such infamous professionals.. WT has the answer to everything, you know.
Well, lately seem like WT waver or about to surrender according to some mag articles mentioned here (i dont read the mags)

this is too deep for me but i take that the author presented Rome as the last kingom to totally rule without competition. Reding the whole book may could clarify the issue.

look, when you were 5 years old your father was a genius,
later even you learned the truth about your father... out of respect for him you woud not contradict him, or break his heart
after his death you did not care anymore, you said and did whaterever you had say and do..
in other words why fire the manager to introduce new policies if he is going to "retire" (died) within a year anyway.
