  normally i don't go in for these conspiracy theory ideas, but a comment by kurtbethel on another thread got me to thinking.

  might this latest dvd actually be proof that there are operatives inside watchtower hq who are deliberately sabotaging the society's material?

  I dont think it is a spy. It's all over dramtic because it is hard to mimic the subtley of good acting with the 3d animation. That is what makes pixar so good, they have a masterful grasp of the smallest eye movements and pauses...

  Thats nothing. I had the elder that studied me in 12 years ago telling me with this serious look on his face that it was "the final.... hour".

  It boils down to the fact that every ex-jw... Especially those raised in it... Have toys or video games or movies or books that were our 'sparlock' in that we were told to get rid of it for BS reasons. Guilt trips, patronizing tones, tenuous reasoning, threats, and hyperbolic rhetoric just like in this new video were aimed at us as kids too. So Sparlock is a symbol. What was your 'Sparlock?'

  i was surprised to discover that, when asked directly "why don't you call yourself an agnostic?

  I've met a LOT of athiests and been one for a long time now. I have never met one that is SURE there is no god. They all admit we are without knowledge (agnostic) but also that based on current evidence there is no basis to believe god exists (athiest). Being both and Athiest and agnostic is the only logical position.
