  Thanks for the link Black sheep. If Galardo had "Joined" the Borg to get parole, I would imagine he got baptized. The Society was pushing the prisoner witnessing thing for a while. "

  "The jury found Garrido guilty of kidnapping and he was sentenced to 50 years. He later pleaded guilty to rape. He served less than 11 years at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan.

  That's where he met Nancy Bocanegra, the relative of another prisoner, whom he would marry. It's also where prison officials believed that his connection to God deepened.

  In a psychological evaluation after the first year of Garrido's sentence, psychologist J.B. Kiehlbauch wrote that Garrido had joined the Jehovah's Witnesses and became a fervent practitioner.

  "He sees himself as one whose life is and will be based on his strongly held religious beliefs, and all indications are that he is conducting his affairs in accord with the principles implied therein," Kiehlbauch wrote. "Prognosis for successful transition to the community is considered very good."

  I remember a nice sister married a con she met in the program ( he later beat her, cheated on her and left her broke after she helped get him paroled).

  I have been calling and emailing contacts in Lake Tahoe and the Brentwood area. Interesting that one of the prosecutors for the El Dorado county District Attorney working on the Dugard case is and WAS a JW with relatives in the Brentwood area. He has done favors and pro-bono work for the WT society. You can be certain Watchtower legal made certain from the very beginning the JW connection was hushed up.

  Not only could Geraldo not find Capones secret money ...he didn't stand a chance against WTBS.

  Got a phone call from the elders today

  just ron got a phone call from the an elder today...they want to "meet" with us.

  lol like that's gonna happen, right?

  anyway, at least they had the good sense to have brother hasn't pissed us off yet call instead of brother thinks we shouldn't feed our kids or brother beat our kid.

  My JW mum is in hospital

  my poor mum fell over on sunday and broke her hip.

  she was taken to hospital and yesterday had an operation to place a pin in the joint.

  this was obviously a worrying time for all concerned and my dad let us all know what was going on.

  Candace Conti - Preparing For The Appeal

  no doubt, wtbts ny will appeal this to the best of their ability, and they have almost unlimited financial resources behind them.. i wish i was in a position to fund candace through the appeal, but i'm not, nor i am cognisant with california law or the general fedaral law in us.. but i was a police officer in the uk for 30 years, 10 of that as a commander of a fraud squad, member of the national working group on fraud, europol, etc.

  i did spend some time in the us working with fbi on a joint case.. my point is this.

  i've read through some of the court papers including depositions and the one that stuck in my mind was the dep taken from the witness who worked in bethel and was asked about 'collated data' re child abusers.
