The divorce info simply gives specific location information and leads to a much darker record that may explain some WTBTS policies according to a couple of unrelated sources (that need to be verified).

Some of the dynamic might be what OTHERS say to your step-dad to make HIM uncomfortable. Switching to another hall might help (Work schedule, School schedule, time for me to grow up! girls, friends - whatever.??), when you get to the new hall just tell the P.O. you have a heavy load with School and work and it is Impacting my personal study...so would you mind holding off re-appointing me for now? Take trips out of town- to "Conventions"...
This will save face for your step-dad. Get you out of being re-appointed. Keep people from noticing you. Start sitting near the back, arrive a bit late, leave a bit early at times so you are out of the "lime light". Turn in under 6 hrs of Field service. Answer less frequently. Do it slowly.

GB Scandal?
by XBEHERE ina friend of mine got this info to me and states that this info is in fact on the grandson of guy pierce, gb member aka the jw college of cardinals.
this person didnt really go into detail but did say that the family are all jw's and this is the son of one of his stepsons, i didnt even realize he had stepchildren.
most of the charges are for drug possesion, traffic violations, one for assault???

called the mrs and me to say "wow- you have to google this" we did...came here to jwn ...became members..and the rest is history.. in the last nine months i have been calling and emailing contacts in the silicon valley for verification on the societies theft and forced sale of the menlo park kingdom hall (near the new facebook heaquarters) because the story seemed...a little far fetched.
every reliable contact i made has confirmed what juan reported.

corvette slashed tires - conversation killer.
by loosie ini have contact some old friends from my past to see what they are up too now.
two of the ones that are in asked me if i would ever go back to the kh....so i tell them the time when my hubby and i tried to go back about 9 years ago while we were in the kh the tires to our corvette were slashed ( $350.00 a tire) then they stop talking to me after i tell them that.
i never said that i thought the jw's did it, i just said that this is what happened.

Favorite car? My first car. A crappy 65 Bel Air..but for a 16 year old it was a magic carpet. Freedom from an abusive alcoholic JW parent. Instant popularity in high school. Friends. A Job. Camping trips. The Beach. Disneyland. It required I buy oil by the gallon, AND carry extra water, and a tool kit...but it was magic for a teenager.
I have had Jeeps, SUVs, Lincolns, and Lexuses since....but THAT was my favorite car..old Betsy.

WTBTS goes back and forth on this. The latest is whatever was taught at the latest elders school this summer. Since most Elders doze off during the boring ass parts, I would check on Atlantis's PDF letters to Elders from Beth Hell during the last couple of years.
The last sticky case I was consulted was over 8 years ago. The service desk wanted to know "Who was the moving party (Plaintiff) on the Divorce papers". And who had sex first. At the time they were trying to prevent married persons from PLANNING divorce and PLANNING to have the "innocent" mate commit adultry, or deciding to simply PLAN to remarry and only "get privately reproved".
One factor that has changed is the "forgiveness" issue. Sex. Before, during and after divorce. Some people can, (or at least pretend to) go without it for many years. Some have unknowingly had "make-up sex" after a confession of adultry...then change their mind.
Going back over 20 years worth of letters positions on this subject I noticed Pharasaical law...Holy Spirit"... had swung back and forth. The whole judicial commitee thing smacks of the Pharasees.
Ask your friend....Why allow such a confused group power over your entire life and future?
