WTS closes/dissolves 435 congregations in 29 countries

as listed in 2013 yearbook.. yes, most countries have increases in congregations.

most of the countries that have less congregations than last year, show 1 or 2 less.

however, poland shows a dramatic 327 congregations less, from 1,814 (2011) to 1,487. netherlands, 25 less congregations.

In California the only "Growth" I have seen is in sign language and foreign language congregations. A lot of the attendees ALSO speak english and transfer from an english congregation. A few places where a "new town" was created a new hall is built.

"Musical Chairs" is a good description.

If WTBTS can combine congregations and use FEWER buildings, they will have more Real Estate to cash-out and $$$ to get off-shore BEFORE the coming tidal wave of post-Conti Pedophile cases hit the court docets in 2013 and 2014. (SATAN'S DOING of course).

With probably 30% of JWs getting in minimum time, making few donations, and simply "wearing out the carpets" they would probably prefer to have more empty halls to sell.

Any decrease they would simply spin to say THE END IS CLOSER!!!!!!! THE " LOVE OF THE GREATER NUMBER HAS COOLED OFF!!!!"

Actually, just visiting your favorite site after a google search helps. This thread just popped up on "Google Alerts" on "Jehovah" because of key words I put in the title for search engine spyders to find.

I bet the WTBTS is paying a few hundred a month for SEO services, so I bet they will always get to the top of page one results. But humans are curious creatures, and I imagine any page on the first three pages of search engine results will get a visit this month.

Seems to be an EX elder. Strange story certainly.

I knew a few JW Sisters in Law Enforcement and Brothers. As long as they packed a heater, they could not pioneer or be a servant. Two of them have retired are are now doing "special assignments" for Bethel.

Barbra Andersons Watchtower Documents site cinched it for the wife and I.

Until I read the ACTUAL Court Documents about Fred Franz lies, Rutherfords rants, and the Watchtower Societies secret coorespondence regarding some big Child molesting cases I was taking everything with a grain of salt. SEEING ACTUAL DOCUMENTS of SWORN TESTIMONY DID IT FOR ME IN ACOUPLE OF DAYS.

We were both 3rd generation JWs who had been drinking the Koolaid for over 50 years.

I have run into some 7th day offshoot groups in the hills of Northern California. Almost like "Communes"...touch of the Davis Koresh(Waco) thing. They believe in "fleeing into the mountains" during the end times.

They also run some drug re-hab centers here and in the Wine Country. A big one in St Helena. Lots of Seventh Day Adventist doctors, and Nurses.
