  DO YOU BELIEVE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES "SHUNNING" OF MINORS IS CHILD ABUSE?

  i have been reading countless heartbreaking accounts on this site of children of jehovah's witnesses being "disfellowshipped" and shunned by entire families, their congregations, basicly everyone they have ever known for simply questioning their parent's religion!!.

  some have been tossed out of family homes to live in cars!!!

  this is not christian.

  Now you answered a question I have had in the back of my mind for 20+ years!!!! LOL!!! I heard of this at WT Farm and some local Farm JW meetings with the Brothers... (I couldn't quite figure what was going on with the Farm animal thing- were ladders involved?? ) "another brother working in the Dairy dept was told that anything you put in front of the cow's mouth, the cow will lick. this started an 8 year habit / relationship with cows for that brother. Can't remember his name. But he was in the Farm / Dairy dept. for 8 years I remeber, when he was caught doing it to the face of a cow. actually, beastiality got several farm brothers dfd or dismissed over the years. so much so that they started only assigning married brothers to the dairy dept. I'm not sure if that tactic worked."" NOW THAT'SDISTURBING!! HOLY COW??

  Can anyone point me to a LINK for the last years "secret" letters to Elders from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society ?

  i just found a link to the newest 2010 elders book and downloaded the entire pdf from another site.

  i would love a pdf of the latest private letters regarding: "medical records", "information sharing".

  "apostates", "disfellowshipping" "conditional gifts/loans" "senior abuse" and "child abuse".

  I just found a link to the newest 2010 Elders book and downloaded the entire PDF from another site. I would love a PDF of the latest private letters regarding: "Medical records", "Information Sharing". "apostates", "Disfellowshipping" "Conditional Gifts/loans" "Senior Abuse" and "Child Abuse".   i have to believe that in this day and age, they all suck.. and in the thousands of years of politics, i don't think there's any person or party that made life all that much better.

  (except maybe during fdr's reign)....but i'm not sure if all those programs that were instituted didn't produce the mess we're in now..

  Why do Elders move to the most expensive area to live, WHO CAN'T AFFORD IT?

  why do elders are dead broke, move to the highest priced areas in the usa.

  in california, we welcome many broken families who are not afraid to work or find a way to live without telling the flock, "we are broke, we might file bk, can you please help us find a home, i am a fulltime servant of god, so can you?

  " they complain how they are so broke, "can't make the rent or make if off the food stanmps they get" yet they move to an area where the average home is $900k after the great real estate meltdown.

  Band, So sorry you were treated like that as a child. Going off topic a bit, over 20 years ago, I still remember with fondness a JW Cop leaning over the seat to tell the P.O. who was smacking his kid in the meeting "If you do that again, I'm hauling your butt out of here in cuffs" He and his church lady wife (who loved to smack thier kids around) got all huffy and red faced....but never hit the kids in the hall again!!!! Caused a stir....and has given me a smile for over 20 years.

  Zengalileo, As a kid in the 60s I remember a number of JW policemen. They had a moderating effect on some of the domestic and child abuse. However over time, the WTBT$ governing body decided Cops were bad, and child molesters were to be sweept under the carpet.

  dealing with kids in any type of judicial manner.

  i would do everything i could to get parents to "deal with it-kindly" at home.

  Avocado, That is terrible, but I saw that as a child. I remember a sister who drank heavy after she lost her health and DAUGHTER in a car accident!
