does anyone know when publications can become public domain?.

i received an anonymous email over at ex-jw.com that had an attached legal filing.

the first couple of pages seemed to be standard legal filings, but the rest of the pages looked like standard typed documentation (not in numbered double-spaced legal format.

) i'm not quite sure what to make of it, so wonder if anyone here has heard of it.

I would LOVE a copy of the booklet from the treasurers about Charitable donations. Especially an old one from the 80s and 90s to compare with a recent on. Any material on "Conditional gifts/loans" THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i stole the idea from a fb friend.

just like occupy wallstreet (and the spread to various cities), imagine people without a single voice picketing wt at brooklyn and having warming barrels loaded with burning watchtower literature.

if you did, what would your sign say?

When I was at Bethel (70s) a number of Ex JWs & Ex Bethelites protested almost daily on Columbia Heights. The prefered location was on the street near the entrance for the dining rooms. One ex Elder/ex Bethelite " Apostle Jack" was out almost every day during his lunch with signs (spot -on scriptures). It had NO effect on me or any other Bethelites. Most brothers said the poor guy had a "nervous breakdown"( nut).

7 members of an "Apostate" group in California picketed the Kingdom Hall I was visiting to give a public talk at on a Sunday Morning in the 90s. I paid no attention, other than it made it hard for me to find a parking place. (I was running Late so I didn't even read the signs). I simply spoke a little louder into the mike the first five minutes to drown them out. I mentally dismissed them as "apostate nuts".

However, years after a relative asked me about Child Abuse, Google led me to Bill Bowens "Silent Lambs" site. After a brother asked me about Rutherford, Google led me to Barbra Andersons excellent "Watchtower Documents " site. After another brother asked about Kingdom Hall "take overs and the Menlo Park, Ca lawsuit", Google led my wife to this site. My wife read this site night and day for over a week and proclaimed to me JWs are a cult. Which led me to read posts here, and on Barbra's, Bill's, and Randy's sites non stop for weeks after some heated family discussions .

GOOGLE and S.E.O. IS powerful. USE IT. Set up google alerts. Get believing family & friends to set up gmail alerts. Use FULL names in headings.

P.S. My wife's family go back in the B ORG 111 years. ... undone in a few weeks by Google and independent web sites.

Perhaps I can get some sq ft values off of Zillow. Humm.

I wonder how many assembly halls and Kingdom halls in the UK, NZ, AUS and Europe???????

Would $100 per sq ft be a good number?? How many sq ft for the average quick build..I will have to check the branch quick build plan set.

Why move magazine printing from the U.S. to Canada?

the january 2011 issues were printed in canada so the change was made.. the wts spent millions of dollars enlarging and updating the printing operations in wallkill so they could consoladate the book and magazine printing at the one location.

it was in 2004 that they stopped the presses in brooklyn and began book production in wallkill.. now just 6 years later they suppossedly sold several of their presses from the u.s. and canada, bought a large new very fast press for canada and had to enlarge the printery there to accomodate it.. now the canada branch will print over 260 million magazines for the u.s.each year and all the expansion done in wallkill was for nothing.. does anyone know why this was done?.

A few years back there was quite a rancor about the Bethel Chiropractor who was injured and made a claim for Workers comp. California and other states started requiring Volunteers get workers comp based on the Minimum wage. It was being litigated in NYC.

Does anyone have any idea about if workers comp is required in Canada or does the public healthcare include on the job injuries?

A little more Digging. I guess the major deposits would NOT be at JP Morgan/Chase Bank. Once again the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is such a BIG financial player they were invited and attended the International Hedge Fund Conference in London Sept. 11-13 2011.

I checked the attendee list- and The Watchtower Society was a repeat attendee. I got a kick out of one of the seminars. Bro Russel would feel at home with the Giza great pyramid calculations.......
