  there have been a number of threads on jwn discussing this, and the article collates and summarises the points raised in these threads.

  Great post ! Thank You! I have enjoyed sending Birthday greetings since leaving the borg.

  When I was a kid they droned on about "creature worship"...well current JWs are ga ga over the governing body. THAT old argument went out the window!

  When I got home my roommate had Watchtower/Awake/Tracts on coffee table(lol)

  today when i got home from doing some volunteer work, the hospital i work for has adobted a section of highway to cleanup, i made a very useful use of my time on a saturday morning, when i get home my roommate has watchtower/awakes and a few tracts laying on the coffee table so i knew the jehovah's witness were here today(lol).

  my roommate is from thailand, she is asian and is learning the english language, if she mentions anything about the jw's i am trying to figure out what to tell her, how to approach it if she says something, also just by seeing all that liteature laying there, i have done so well with my anxiety but that just ruined my day, it brought that anger/anxiety back.

  I understand it can be upsetting. Lots of buried and fresh hurt.

  Mom gave me the new Brochure. I told her I will put on the nightstand to read. I did. It makes an excellent coaster. A bit soiled by wet coffee.

  on may 20, 2010, a lawsuit was filed in san diego, california.

  defendant, the watchtower of ny, settled out-of-court for an unknown amount of money with the plaintiffs just weeks before the candace conti trial began at the end of may 2012 in oakland, california.

  the law firm representing the five plaintifs in this case was .

  what kingdom halls do the governing body attend?

  my guess is they go to private meetings.

  it is very clear the rules that apply to all jw's do not apply to them.

  A VW- are you kidding? LOL!! I wonder why Dan S. didn't take out one of the Olds in the garage. As a GB member he had access. (because it might get stripped? ).

  I must admit Dan did try to "be one of the boys". He missed lunch sometimes to play ball. He was very proud of the fact he was one of the last White bros. back then to transfer out of Bed-Stye.

  anyone with a case against the wbts for child abuse that (1) hasn't gone past the statute of limitations, which is 21 years, (2) that the accused is not the child's parent or (3) anyone who's child has been abused within the last two years and nothing was done, to please contact him asap.

  how much is this fee?.

  I wonder how long in advance and how much of a deposit it takes to secure a major facility for a District convention? If it is a large deposit, and you have to wait a year for donations...that could pose a problem........hummm

  My experience with the Bethel Legal Dept. regarding a Ministerial Servant molesting a boy

  the experience that follows contains some details that some might find graphic.

  so be warned.. the body of elders received word that an unmarried ministerial servant, age 20, had been seen fondling a younger male bible student, age 14. the ministerial servant himself had been studying with the boy.

  the ministerial servant was a quiet, timid brother.
