27Has anyone ever used a non-NWT (New World Translation) bible at meetings / study?
by biometrics inabout 1 year ago (before i faded), i purchased an old king james bible from ebay and started using it in the meetings and when a brother came over to study with me.. a common reaction of fellow jws was to stare at the bible, then say "what type of bible is that?
", then they'd sometimes ask to look at it, and flip to john 1:1. when they saw what it said, they'd treat it like it was apostate material, even though a few decades earler it was the same bible jws used.. i strongly encourage any lurkers/faders to use another bible at the meetings and see what type of reactions you get.. .

she came over for dinner to our home after the assembly.
in conversation, it came up that a known pedophile was seen walking to the bathroom holding a young boy's hand-no relation to the boy at all, although that wouldn't make a difference!

You wouldnt think a pedophile would be that brazen ? A social worker colleague has told me of witnessing the abuse of a child ina room full of adults.
Of course they will do it because the world is full of little lambs who have been conditioned to not speak up nor act..
'Lets hope he was thinking of the bros talk..' who the pedophile or the person who witnessed the situation.

some where along the path of life the wt guilt trip was dumped on our marriage and we havent had sex for years.. anyone else?
the hearts and flowers and gifts and doing the cleaning, the house work and paying the daily accounts never being drunk on drugs playing the horses or screwing others yep its all there but nothing coming back due to the wt guilt trip.. they made so much of 'oral sex' and 'pornea' incorrectly quoted at that and ventured thereby into areas they were patently very ill equipped to comment on.

Heres a thought. It was Jesus who made us all ok? Can you imagine the WTS doing a talk on the wonder of the human body and going into detail about the little miracle that is the clitorus with its thousands of nerve endings that go right up into the female body and the only organ of the human body designed just to give .....pleasure..thats one great invention Jesus!

Havent looked at this thread for some time..
So Im damned if i do and damned if i dont. So what wever i do for her is her rightful due even if she is a negative cow. If i stop doing and paying then I am just a typical male b******. From where did women get this line of belief? The ones at work are just the same!
Before I die i would like to see her face the reality of what she has done and the sadnesses she has caused. Talk about being a good witness.!
She must believe as do many sisters who deny intimacy that no one else knows. The F***wits! They do all the witnessing work and treat their men and the Joy of Sex with utter disdain and think no one else knows? God knows. Other people those horrible 'worldly people' know as the somber sadness one carries in the day is often apparent to others.
Such no sex please sister should keep in mind that an awful lot of women are going to be resurrected from many generations past and they were sexually liberated and vigorous. Do these no sex sisters of today think quoting ad nauseum or bashing the WTS doctrines over a mans head is going to keep him in line then?
I have one tiny advantage and that is i have maintained through all this a couple of interests (hobbies if you like) that have kept me sane and given me a sense of achievment that no amount of 'kingdom service' could ever bring.
Let the matter rest here folks but my utmost sumpathies to anyone in the same situation.

guilt tripping isn't working!
by thecrushed ini had a ms come into my work today to encourage me to come back to the meetings.
he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!
he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

I was seriously injured. No one came near didint wish them to anyway. Wifes anti social attitude is suffice to scare people off but.. I eventually got back to the KH. "Oh we have been thinking about you" from one sister.

In veiw of the future prospects for the remnant of the 144000 still living,wouldnt you think they would have a greater role in the running of a congregation ?
by smiddy ini just commented on another thread about the 144000 and thought it deserved a thread of it`s own seeing how important their appointment is .. those who are selected to rule with christ jesus in heaven are given immortality.
if you or i were selected to survive armaggedon we would not be given immortality , so obviously they are considered a cut above the rest of humanity.. so my question is ,why doesnt jehovah`s spirit directed organization on earth give these people the respect and dignity that jehovah god is going to bestow on them in the future , while they are yet present on earth , instead of ignoring them , and treating them as a lesser class of person than a pioneer ,ministerial servant, or elder.. and suggesting they may be influenced by prior beleifs or have mental problems doesnt say much for their bible education instruction , after all these are dedicated baptized publishers who are counted as the annointed remnant.. smiddy.
