  How will the Watchtower help its members during hard economic times?

  it's good to see many, many churches dipping into their funds to help the needy, the homeless and providing food and shelter for those who need it.. what can be said of "god's organization"?.

  what do they do to help people in these tough economic times?.

  will they help you with food?

  It is utterly ridiculous to expect that the WTS will help anyone in anyway. They may have relief work, big deal. They may get into these countries that need help but they are never ever the first to arrive. first on the scene, is always the Red Cross and Salvation Army and those two organizations put the WTS to shame. They should feel ashamed. Look at 9-11 how they cowered into the Bethel and locked it down out of fear. Only when they figured out it wasn't the Big A did they eventually go out but it had to be with Bible literature first then the food. Why???? I don't get it. Does anyone?

  Our parish never questions anyone in need. If I told the church I needed something Father Gordon S would let the parish know that we need something for someone and it happens. Or food or shelter it is there to help. All the churches do the same thing in our town, except the KH of JW's and they call them selves Christians. Well what on earth did Christ do with the crowd of 5000 persons did he say go home I haven't got any thing to feed you . No absouletly not he took the bread and fish and prayed and fed the crowds and there was still 12 baskets of food left over. Isn't that explantion enough for the GB to notice. Can't they see in this day and age, that starvation exits in our own country. I wonder if the congretions took as much interest in helping the cong with sustance as they do in wanting to disfellowship a person. I mean they can hardly wait these days to kick you out for asking some questions they consider apostate.

  Kills me though they can quote anything from any literature in their history but if a witness does mention that they read something in a older wt or g or bk then your on the executioners block really fast.

  lets face facts, the WTS is afraid. They have millions of dollars in lawsuits pending. You think their money will last. I don't think so. Something has go to give and if there is an economic depression they may lose everything. Interesting isn't it?

  When was the last time you attended a convention, boy you see more Jezebel's there then anywhere else. You can count them buy the bushel full. Some of them are so provocative and these gals had slits up the sides of their skirts that reached just up to their hips and thigh and some of them painted themselves like Tammy Faye Baker with gobs of yuck on their faces. and some of them wear stilito's on their feet. All this to look cool for Jehovah opps I mean all those horny boys who wander the corridors trying to pay attention to the program not...

  I recall one C.O. who visited us at the k. hall and he counseled the sisters about their attire and make up and all it did was go in one ear and out the other. I thought gee no one was listening they must have thought it was applicable to some one else.

  I have two sisters who paint themselves like the painted desert. They look totally horrid. What one considers beauty I consider beastly. I have worn in my life three times a little make up and quite frankly I can't see the hype. I would rather wear blue jeans a tee shirt and a pull over and no makeup and be my self, then an idiot dressed up in a halloween get up that looks like broom hilda.

  Yes I am alive and well

  to all my very dear friends, yes i am here and well, i have been getting new medical help for my severe headaches and must admitt i am getting some positive relief.

  the treatment isn't so pleasant however just for the relief of some terrible headaches for a couple of days i am willing to go through the treatment.. also i am now officailly off of my opiate drugs.

  morphine.

The treatment isn't so pleasant however just for the relief of some terrible headaches for a couple of days I am willing to go through the treatment.

  Also I am now officailly off of my opiate drugs. Morphine. After being one it for eight years and totally addicted to it I knew I had to stop as it was running me. I was constanting tired and no energy. I slept more then I was awake and just didn't quite feel I was doing anything good for my body. I made it a matter of prayer and I know it is only through His strength I got throught these past three weeks of withdrawls. And it wasn't pretty neither, I was sick as a dog.

  But now most of the withdrawls have passed and I feel more alert and can remember. Wow that is a biggy as I thought I was losing my memory. I would read sometimes the same sentence over and over again and again and still it didn't click and now I read and recall it back. yabba dabba doo.

  I still have tons of pain but I will adjust to it and try other methods to elivate it with out the aid of drugs. I really never knew how totally dependant I was on them until I tried to stop and then you know exactly how bad you really were addicted to them.

  I thank God he gave me the courage and strength and the prayers of others.

  I love all of you so much and how many of you have been a real inspiration to me. Thanks to all of you.

  what interesting findings. Yes I noticed too, how the watchtower over a hundred years old was used to explain their answers to the question purposed to them. Yet interestingly they discouage every witness from delving into older literature. What a bunch of hypocrites. They use what ever they want when it suits them but the witnesses can't so much as ask a simple question from a older publication with out the elders antenae going up in the air and thinking oh oh there is someone talking to the apostates, We better keep our eye on him or her.

  I mean isn't that really the truth of it all. They can pick and choose and yet they accuse the clergy of it and yet they can't see their own folly.

  oh well.

  I would hate to lose out on the names and numbers of those I have had for years. I think seeing jwd coming to an end will be sad, but I will stay on board until the very end.

  Demonstrators at Bethel

  had any of you seen any demonstrators at bethel when you worked there?

  i am curious as to what any of you thought of them when you seen them holding signs and passing out pamphlets to jws as they were all walking by.

  if any had seen them, did they have any impact on your life in any way?

  I don't recall that.

  Demonstrators at Bethel and conventions are cool, takes real guts to stand there with plackcards and shout slogans against the JWs.

  My real anger is to the G. B and elders, not to all JWS as I have had some great friends as witnesses. but the problem is they don't maintain a true friendship if you get in to trouble. Then they would stab you in the back.

  I am not really sure if demonstrations are that effective anymore. Does anyone else feel that way?

  Anyone who does demonstrate I think you are brave and to be commented.
