My JW boyfriend and I are in an interracial relationship, but I'm not a JW so I should shush. :P
His mother is a baptized JW married to another baptized JW, and they're an interracial couple, though.
i was thinking about some interracial jw couples that chose each other because they do not have alot of choices like finding someone in their own race in the religion, i have been seeing alot more jw interracial couples lately.
have you noticed them in your area?
don't get me wrong.

imagine that it was possible to precisely measure the amount of suffering in the world at any given moment - a cosmic "pain meter".
decide for yourself what the unit of measurement would be.. we can only imagine a fraction of the combined suffering that is being felt right now.
physical pain, emotional despair, grief, desperation, loss, terror and hopelessness.. of course if there is an omniscient god then he knows to the last iota what that theoretical meter would read right now.. the bible contains a number of answers to the question of suffering - ever since the babylonian exile one popular answer has been to blame his nemesis the devil, "we know that we are children of god, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
CJ, that is unfortunately very true. Or they only support charities that preach, rather than actually provide for temporal needs. Those types should definitely reexamine that!

Sometimes I struggle with thoughts like this, as a believer. But the one thing I kind of come back to is that, apart from physical problems and natural disasters, pretty much everything people go through COULD be fixed by other people. We could feed all the hungry, provide for all of the orphans, do what we can to stop evil people when we see them, (obviously not all the time there) and be there for people who are in need of someone. If we don't do all these things ourselves when it's well within our power, why should we expect God to do it?
Sort of OT, but even if you don't believe in God, the fact still stands that if we actually cared about our fellow man, we could wipe out most of the suffering out there. We just don't do it.
well, the big five o today.. how did that happen?
i can't be half a hundred for fucks sake, i only just got born again (and not in the christian sense)!.
can i get seniors discounts and insurance i wonder?
Happy late birthday!
i know i don't post here so much, but i'm too excited about the a's.
i remember talking about whether or not they had a postseason chance on the mlb thread a few months ago.
and heck yes, they made it!!!
Yeah, I remember you talking about them. They really tanked down the stretch, huh? I was definitely rooting for them!

And heck yes, they made it!!! Bob Melvin should win manager of the year, or he should just run for president with Terry Kiser from Weekend at Bernie's.
Seventeen rookies and a $50 million payroll. Pretty dang impressive! My mom said they'd be in the playoffs back in March. She's a genius!
don't bother me with the josephus addendum.
i've already seen that debunked.. i am quite aware of the fact that the only evidence of jesus comes from his own followers who didn't even bother to write down his life for decades after jesus "died.
" don't know about you, but if i saw all that shit, i would have gone home and written three books about it that same day!.
I was under the impression that most historians of that era believe he did exist, but that he was a regular man raised to mythical proportions. I don't think there a lot of historians who believe he was simply made up, although I'm sure there are a decent number who do.
i'm divorced and i have a daughter who is nearly 11. last year she watched a video in school covering upcoming body changes (which she already knew about).
but one suggestion they gave that i didn't think of was to go get femine supplies and be prepared for when the time comes.
i like being prepared ahead of time for emergencies.
Apart from the feminine supplies, one thing you might want to suggest to your daughter, if it's not too weird: It's pretty easy to have "mistakes" the first few years you have a period since you're really not used to it yet, so it's a good idea to carry a sweatshirt or something to tie around your waist should such a thing occur. Most of the girls in my junior high would just wear a sweatshirt around their waist their whole cycle just to be on the safe side. At least that way if something happens, it's not nearly as embarrassing and people probably won't see it. I have a sister in junior high right now, and I always know when she's on her cycle: She's got a sweatshirt for no apparent reason!
And I concur with the "no tampons" suggestions. It's usually a few years before girls feel comfortable wearing them. Just go for some Always pads! You can always get the overnight ones, too. It's practically a diaper, but at least there's less of a chance of issues.
wtf!?!?
anybody catch the worst decision ever made at the end of a game?
wow heads have got to roll!.
Somebody on my Twitter said, "If you’re holding your baby & I walk up and hug it, according to the NFL replacement refs, you have to give me your baby."
To be honest, though, I think the main refs are kind of turds. They already make, on average, 150k a season when they only work a few days a week for four months. And they want more? Sounds reasonable. Throw in a golden pony, too!
does god command christians to go from door to door preaching the gospel?.
source:http://www.thercg.org/questions/p070.a.html.
based on a quick reading and misinterpretation of acts 20:20, many believe that the apostle paul preached the gospel of the kingdom from house to house, to those who were unconverted.
Still thinking, something like that happened one time at a church I went to! haha
One of the pastors had a tendency to poke fun at or call out Mormons on their beliefs. He was going off on it one time, and a Mormon who happened to be attending stood up and started arguing with him. I wasn't at this service because I go to evening ones when I go. Apparently this went on for quite some time. I wish I'd been there. Things like that should happen at church more often. People would be less likely to fall asleep or "use the Bible on their phone." I know there are Bible apps, but I think that's just an excuse for people to be on Facebook the whole service. I was thinking about downloading a "Bible app" just for that purpose!
