  Just heard a great one from my JW brother...

  one of my nephews just was married and i was invited to the wedding on the day of the wedding (not the reception of course)!

  i thanked him for the invite but declined so as to not make the day uncomfortable for my nephew and his new bride.

  my other nephew (the brother of the groom), who is df'ed, went and said he was treated like a dead man walking.

  He then said that he wanted us to be able to celebrate the next wedding (my last nephew's) completely and as a family. How does he see that happening? He said, "I should take immediate steps to get reinstated so that I could make the family "whole" again"!!! Sheesh...I was kinda blindsided by that one and didn't have a snappy response to that comment.

  OH boy.......you really should've seen that one coming a mile away.

  That being said, how about they just invite you without following all of the WT "BS bible-based" protocols.

  A Secret about DF'ing that Elders will NEVER tell you.

  when i discussed this with some ex-jws in the past, they have pointed out to me that the following is not done in actual pracrice.

  of course it is not done in practrice ... that is why i referred to it as a "secret" because elders do not normally disclose such information, either because they fear its effect, or because they have not thoroughly paid attention to the "pay attention" book.

  in this post, i am not arguing about actual practice ... rather what the undisclosed, withheld, secretive information is ... and how being armed may allow """some""" jws to relax their conscience.. a secret that elders will not openly tell you.

  If a JW relative's association with me has more to do with what the WTS's doctrine du jour says they can or cannot do than their familial relationship with me, then they can go f*ck themselves. I don't need that toxic bull$h!t in my life

  Once the man behind the curtain was revealed, I walked and let the chips fall where they may. I just couldn't stomach it anymore. The wife was pissed and the battle to get me to go back to meetings ensued but I held my ground. I would respect her feelings if she wanted to continue, but as for me, I wanted nothing to do with it.

  When my kids decided they'd had enough, I came to their defense not to go either.

  I think if you're an adult and you really don't want to go. JUST DON'T GO!!!!!

  No apologies....no explanations.

  It's that simple.

  Aside from his queerness he has written some good music over the years, but his recent material is out dated and not very good.

  You're right about that. His music these days don't come close to how good it was in the passt.

  so i made another meeting..#2....not as bad this time...

  my texting prowess during the meeting continue to improve...mostly during wt study which i can totally tune out....the talk was actually good....but the best part.....i got to go out to lunch with wife and 8 old friends and knock back a few brews!....ones who have never shunned me anyway so the true friends...true, i can go out with them at other times, but it was nice being with my wife and hangin out after da meetin.

  i also brought some other reading material in the back of my bible....hey, i might be able to do this a couiple of times a month, and my wife knows 100% now i do not believe the bible is inspired, i do not believe in an active spirit world, and that we do not have the truth, and that the fds may be sincere, but do not have a clue what the bible means and are not led by holy spit!.....................oompa.

  I couldn't do it either. My wife is as staunch a JW as ever, but sitting in those meetings watching them bobble heads shake in the affirmative at everything coming from that stage makes me want to vomit.

  in an offer letter obtained by tmz.com, the president of the pornography studio and distributor steven hirsch says the company would release the film under their "vivid-celeb imprint, which has released titles starring such personalities as pamela anderson, kim kardashian, and most recently, former miss usa kelli mcarty.".

  the site also reports that the company is offering her family dental and health care if she agrees to star in a series of films.. suleman, 33, known as "octomom" after giving birth to octuplets earlier this year, has reportedly not replied to the request.. i can't make this up.... link.
