Even the ones that aren't manuscripted have probably been reheased to the point of lunacy before the convention overseers to make sure there is no deviation of the content.

2009 Drama - Kudos to Bethel. Sorry.
by Open mind inmy overall impression of this year's modern-day prodigal son drama was that it was one of the best i've ever seen.
"best" if the goal is to try to convince young jws to stay in the org.. the amount of cheesiness was at an all-time low, imo.
there were a few exceptions, but i got the impression that bethel is getting pretty good intel from the field and incorporating it into the program.

They've always done well at putting together those BS scenarios that bare no resemblance to reality and do nothing but push whatever "thought" they want you to go with at that particular time. Everyone I've ever seen revolved around someone being enticed to leave their troof and as a result suffering for it before finally coming back and reconciling.

I went to a JW get-together last night
by BonaFide inso here in the jw complex, well, 90% are jw's, a couple of my friends had a bbq yesterday.
i was invited.
they had heard about some of my comments and questions regarding the organization, but i guess they forgot about that.. the friends there were from three different congregations.

I can eat their food,,,,I just choke on their company when the inevitable aggranding of the organization coupled with the "how I came into the truth" testimonies start.
I go to these "gathering" with my wife sometimes and it's a familiar pattern. And, when it starts, I'm grow quickly annoyed with getting the sideways glances when I'm not being one of the booble-head Yaaa-suh bosses.

Further.....if Jah is going to, as they always fall back on,put it in the hearts of men to cause politicians and the Un to turn against religion then what's the point in waiting so long.
Hell....why even play this game if the deck is stacked.

I don't know if they do, but I will.
There is no way politics will turn on religion in my lifetime or even the lifetime of my daughter. Religion creates lemmings that don't question what they're told and politics rely on them.
Whatever you would like to bet I'm up for.
I want in on some of this action. This'll be like shooting fish in a barrel.

How do you keep your food down?
That certainly was what I was thinking......
I can't stand going to those affairs,,.....they are entirely too bland and tasteless. Qne of the first things they always want to do is sit around and talk about what brought them into the troof. There's always some bloke starting out trying to prove them wrong and couldn't.......the same story told time and again that JWs just love to eat up.
With the wealth of information out there in cyberspace, it's quite easy to prove them wrong or poke logical holes through their interpretation point by point if you're not too lazy to look up the information. Sadly, to many people get so caught up in the love-bombong that once they study a bit and are hit with the inevitable "Satan going to try to get you to stop studying with us" chapter, they shut down on any information not stamped with a WT logo.

That barrier is already gone.
I've seen many a politician prominantly featured as a guest speaker from many pulpits.
Religions are already heavily involved in politics. MIght as well tax their asses anyway.
