just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.. i've been out of the organization for about 4 years, but i still love jehovah and jesus, and i want to serve them the right way.
does anyone here feel a great sense of religious confusion now that you are not attending meetings?.
at the moment, i feel miserable, since i'm going through a divorce.
I don't know what area of the country you live in, but I would say it is highly probable that other ex-JW's live somewhere near you that could be of a support. Let the area be known to the board here and/or you might try calling the ex-JW Help-Line at 1-800-Why-1914 as they know of different people in different areas who would be willing to help.
In the meantime, I would suggest prayer, since you are a believer (as I am) as real help is to be found in The Lord.

Back in the late 50's we had an Elder (Servant at the time) who caught with his hand in the Till. It was hushed up to us Rank & File, so I do not know how much was taken, but he was not disfellowshipped. He was removed as a Servant.

I don't think the stealing starts until the money gets to New York!
what if you were df'ed for apostasy - yet you continued to show up at meetings with a big smile, slapping folks on the back and shaking hands with them, raising your hand to comment on every paragraph, even being visibly annoyed when you are not called on?
file a restraining order?
lock the door?
Maybe you could still go door to door, representing yourself as a JW, and acting like a complete 'jerk'. That ought to help the neighborhood have a good opinion of Witnesses!

in some private discussions with ex-jws over the years, i have boiled down some of the disagreements to a different view of what worship is or is not.
this view often unwittingly affects ex-jws, and underpins their arguments, even though they do not realize it.. to a jw, worship of jehovah is done by going out door-to-door, attending meetings, commenting, singing, and prayer.
these are acts only done to and for jehovah.. to a protestant, going door-to-door is nice, vene being at church is nice, but not worship.
One little correction Jim. I don't think that worship to a JW could have anything to do with 'singing'! God, would have to be over in the corner of the Universe 'pukeing' if that kind of music was directed to him.

remember those jokes we heard time and time again from the platform yet still everyone got a good (fake) chuckle?
i remember hearing this one a million times: "a pioneer was stressing about which vehicle to buy for service, but remember, jesus said '"follow in my footsteps, not my tire tracks!!!
fbf.
How about calling on Sister Pain in the rear for her comment................
Or the Sadducees who didn't believe in the resurrection and that is why they were so 'sad you see'!
Please take your Bibles and 'Flip' to Phillipians.

does anyone have any suggestions?.
my sister has not spoken to me in almost two years.
she thinks i am an apostate for knowing the watchtower joined the un.
Personally, I would not go back to meetings as that only encourages them that they have the 'truth' and something of value that you need. Prayer of course would be in order, as God can do stuff that seems impossible to us.
But 'be patient' and consider this as suffering for righteousness sake. Who knows what the future holds in their congregation and lives.
I speak from authority, as I have been totally shunned by a JW daughter for many years, but it looks like God may have gotten in the mix recently.

if you are hosting, or even for your own family, what are you serving for christmas dinner?.
i dont't want to do turkey again and i have done enough ham to make everyone board to tears!
anyone have an unusual dish they serve?.
If you go with taco's, don't forget to try chopped up celery to put in them! Very good. Also, refried beans first in the taco shell, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, onions, grated cheeze, salsa, and a good grade of ground beef. Ummm!

joe dettore is a witness in florida.
trying to find information on him.
very important!
What part of Florida? Different ones could look in the phone books for their respective areas.
