  Slow cooker recipes needed

  i just bought 6 qt.

  slow cooker the other day and i would like to have some recipes.

  i prefer not to have too many ingredients.

  As a JW, I hated the weekends. Saturday morning door to door, watching some kid a Sister dropped off to take with you. Sunday morning meetings, yuk! Sunday afternoon calls.

  Now, I sleep in. Then go out for breakfast and decide what I'm going to do the rest of the weekend. Life is good.

  Where does the money go?

  the other day my wife asked me this question when i was trying to tell her that the society's motive behind most decisions is money.

  she too thinks the society is misguiding people but she doesn't think it's being done for financial gain like i do.. can anyone out there confirm whether members of the gb or some of the higher profile bethelites are personally benefitting from all the money that is being gathered in by the organization.

  and i don't mean stuff like, they have all their needs taken care of, i mean luxuries that most jw's would not receive..

  Well, I've heard that their lifestyle is pretty good especially when they travel. 1st Class airline seats and hotels and the best restaurants etc. Of course that is a hard thing to prove as some say that a brother paid for all the expenses etc. or they used their own money. I'm sure not all 'big shots' at Bethel live the high life but some have and do presently. Some ex-JW's who have visited the rooms of the 'higher up's' while they were still JW's said that the best booze (Scotch etc.) was always served at their little parties.

  As for most of the money, it keeps the machine going.

  How Many JWs Stay In & Are Not "True Believers"?

  how many are simply there because they don't care about religion and "where would they go"?.

  how many have sold their souls just to remain in "friendships" and "family"?.

  i think there are tons of jehovah's witnesses in name only.. .

  My guess would be 'Lots of them are there in name only' Probably the fear of 'shunning' contributes to this or the fact that you might lose some 'golfing buddies' also if you left the Organization!

  Assembly hall in Sweden sold....

  on czech anti jw website there was recently an article about witnesses in sweden.... http://www.straznavez.cz/finance/financnikrize.htm.

  it says, witnesses in sweden did built in past years a huge assembly hall for 10.000 persons, it was used for da a cc.

  recently it was sold to a private company svenska hem ab and it is used for concerts, exhibitions and conferences (now it is called svenska hem arena).

  hey!.

  i have tried to debate evolution/ark a couple of times with witnesses.

  two of these were elders, and one had the benefit of conversing with me over mail; he also showed an interest and knowledge on some scientific subjects that told me he had studied it a bit by himself.

  They would often quote something/someone but usually never give the reference material information so as to check it out for yourselves. So, yes, I was quite dissatisfied with any proof.

  Well, you might consider having 'two' baby showers. One you mom would be comfortable with and one for the so-called anti-JW's. Just a man's point of view.
