Reunion after 9 years apart... An Ozzie tale

i just wanted to share with you all my experience from friday night.. from this board i encountered a poster that used to be in the same congregation as me some time ago... blissisignorance.

i am sure that many of you know her.. well i made contact with her and after a few hiccups i went to reunite with her and her hubby (who i also knew for many years) at the home where they cooked me a beautiful meal.

i cannot begin to describe what an elated feeling i had when i left their home.

I just LOVE hearing stories like these! I am hopeful that a dear friend of mine will one day also leave the Borg and we will have a similar fond reunion.

do you know of anybody or are you currently involved with disciplinary action taken by the elders, or have you recently been "invited" to a judicial hearing?.

do you know of any young witness who has "reached out" of the organization for social support in defiance of wt training.. .

PROTEST RALLY AT WTS HQ, BROOKLYN, NY WITH DINNER AFTERWARDS

i am organizing a major protest rally at the watchtower society hq in brooklyn , ny, thursday, october 13 from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm with dinner and fellowship afterwards.

i am planning chartered buses from major centres in the eastern canada and usa.

i hope that this will be an historic event and make the international news.

Reading your posts has made me very sad for you. Getting baptized into the JW religion because you are confused about religion won't make you less confused. Getting baptized into the JW religion because your girlfriend wants you to, rather than because YOU are convinced deep down that it is the right thing for you, personally, will not be a happy beginning to life within the [B]organization. Getting baptized into any faith requires careful consideration, a GOOD feeling about one's decision, and a happy relationship with whatever version of God/dess resounds within one.

You appear to think that there is only one right human being for you to love, as well. That you will never again find a person as "pure" as your JW girlfriend. This is just not true. One can have more than one happy relationship in life. YOU can certainly find a partner who will not coerce you into taking steps you still feel unprepared to take--especially the step of baptism as a Jehovah's Witness which carries the very serious consequences already outlined above. A lover who demands that a person subjugate his/her personal beliefs in order to fit into that lover's ideal is NOT a loving person. KNOW this and save yourself untold heartache for years to come.
