Definition of a Fundamentalist
by outnfree ini subscribe to something called monday9am.tv - short films and stories about life and the human spirit (found at http://www.monday9am.tv/) and wanted to share the definition of a fundamentalist given in today's film short by author seth godin: .
"a fundamentalist is person who considers whether a fact is acceptable to their faith before they explore it.
he contrasts this with a curious person, which he defines as one who "explores first, and then considers whether or not they want to consider the ramifications.

Merry Christmas Good News for ME!!!!
by outnfree indear loving jwd family,.
as many of you know, i have benefited immensely from the tuesday night vigils and the positive energy expended on my behalf via prayer, reiki, visualization, etc.. i had my last herceptin treatment on november 30, and then got bogged down with finals, so didn't check in here.
i had a muga scan and a ct scan of my lungs, abdomen and pelvis this past tuesday as the sort of end of treatment check ups.. i am grateful, elated, pleased, thankful and more to report the results:.

FINALLY -- I get to move the H#LL out of here!!!!
by outnfree init's true!
as many of you know, i was divorced in may of this past year, but forced by financial circumstances to continue sharing the marital home with my ex-husband.
that situation alone is very stressful, but add to it my surgery/treatment for breast cancer and the fact that our house is still not on the market for sale (due to repairs that must be completed, but which i am unable to do and ex- doesn't care to do/take care of) was making me feeling like i was living in a holding tank instead of a home.

Adriamycin alone for Breast Cancer?
by outnfree inas many of you are aware (bless you for your support!
), i am undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
the oncologists have suggested adding adriamycin (doxorubicin) alone to my chemotherapy regimen (we are avoiding cytoxan for family health history reasons) and i'm wondering if the extra 84 days of treatment will be worth it.. right now, i am finished with taxotere and was scheduled to start another taxane, taxol (paclitaxel) with herceptin near the end of this month.

Bone Pain Update
by outnfree into those who were good enough to respond via pm and post to this friday morning update of mine on the vigil thread:in fact, last night was a rough one for me, beginning about 2 am est.
on wednesday, i went to get my complete blood count (cbc) and i had bottomed out in white blood cells, so home to virtual quarantine after a shot of white blood cell production stimulator neupogen.
one of the side effects can be bone pain, and i felt some pressure in my sternum and vertebrae, but not too terrible.
