Oh! Sorry! That only applies to the JW Cult!
Hugs,
you know you are a redneck in a cult if you:
are cut off from your family or friends because they are considered a danger to your cult-like beliefs.
are taught everything through repetition,repetition,repetition.. are taught to fear for your life (everlasting) if you leave it.. question its teachings you are doomed.. everything outside of its organization is a tool of satan.

((((Karla!)))) Hiya, sweetie!
... have "gatherings" on major holidays, but don't "celebrate" them: after all, you "have the day off and it's a good time to get together. Besides, turkeys were only 39 cents/lb. this week!"
it's thursday.
time to share the love with outnfree with our weekly prayer vigil.
please be with us tonight at 8:00 central (9:00 eastern, 7:00 mountain, 6:00 pacific).
Thanks, Robyn!
If those who are participating would focus on my eyes this evening, it would be helpful. I am having problems with my vision -- things are blurry up close and they feel raw as though I've been crying, yet they are not bloodshot or dry, even. Weird.
Otherwise, the bone pain finally subsided on Monday and this next week will be the best one before I do it all again on the 11th.
Love to all,
Brenda
to all it may consume...i mean concern...my poor little brookiepooh had to have surgery on her leg today to remove a blockage in one of her major arteries.
it was a very long surgery but she was able to hobble home this afternoon (well...austin gave her a ride home but she had to hobble into the house).
so she isn't feeling too chipper and thought it would be nice for you all to stop by and wish her well and a speedy recovery.
Feel better soon, Brooke! (Glad you finally took care of that leg!)

Kim, just because my mom liked it!
dansk (ian) is in the hospital.
as you know, he posted to us on wednesday morning (after the tuesday night vigil) saying that he felt very bad.
claire ended up having to go home from work because he was feeling so weak and having some trouble breathing.. here are her emails.
I am so glad that the trip to Bath is still a real possibility! Ian and Claire And that the ENORMOUS amount of removed fluid is taking the strain off of Ian.
Claire -- do you and Ian have a small tape recorder to record the conversation with the oncologist on Monday? If the Dr. doesn't mind, you could tape the interview with his/her permission and know that you can go over it again when in a more comfortable place emotionally. My oncologist didn't want me taping her, (she would put her thoughts in writing for me in a letter) but the nurse who explained the meds and possible side effects had no problem, so I was able to refresh my memory when it was time for my first chemotherapy. Also, my oncologist tailored my protocol to my personal wishes based on family history. I think the most important thing is feeling you are part of a team committed to your own well being. Comfort with your entire team so that anxiety and fear can be lessened considerably. I know Ian has had that with his homeopathic/spiritual supports. Looking for that same comfort level is important. Also, will you have a treatment center nearer home than Bath? In my case, the cancer research institute with which my local satellite treatment center is affiliated is located downtown Detroit, 45 mins-1 hour round trip from home. The local center is 20 minutes away. When I needed blood work done and/or cell stimulator shots done 4 days in a row, it was a relief not to have to travel so long and so far daily, as I was quite exhausted at the time. Perhaps I'm reminding you both of things you've already considered, but if not, remember to try to make this as easy on you as possible.
BrendaC -- When I asked Universe to send Claire whatever energy she needed last night, I saw a rainbow. That's the first time that's ever happened. Do you think this means she just needed a bit of reinforcement everywhere in her balanced chakras? For Ian there was lots of pink and white with some yellow and green, but in waves as opposed to the very connected colors for Claire. I found it curious, but cool!
My love and best wishes for Ian's continued recovery and physical and emotional strength for Claire and the boys, as well.

Thanks for the update, Marjorie.
Not sure what this means for the Bath trip to the lovely Apsley House and medical oncologist, but Ian needs to be in the best shape possible to negotiate his treatment plan, so I hope he's not too annoyed at any delays.
(((( Ian and Claire)))),
I'm going upstairs to meditate and send energy your way right now. I hope you'll both feel refreshed in the morning.

had to go to a catholic hospital ie: st. mary's, st. stanislaus, etc.say, in an emergency, but was admitted and stayed there for a few days, would he/she get reproved or disfellowshipped?.
would there be an hlc there to make sure that person didn't receive blood?
can the hlc gain access to the j.w.
Hubert,
You would THINK that going to a Catholic Hospital and paying the bills afterwards would be supporting "Babylon the Great = world empire of false religion" but that would just be LOGICAL. Ain't no room for logic with the JayDubs when their health is on the line.
Many Witnesses from this area go to St. Joseph Mercy (Catholic) or St. John's Hospital System (Presbyterian) with no conscience problems at all. No reproof, no disfellowshipping. Although, the local osteopathic hospital (no religious affiliation) opened a bloodless surgery unit and had infomercial special sessions for the local JWs promoted in the local papers a few years back.
I agree that the HLC committee would be on the scene if they knew about the congregation member's illness in a timely manner. I also agree that hospital choice is predicated on doctor's affiliation and the trust the JW has in their doctor to abide by their wishes on the blood issue.

(((((Claire and Ian and boys))))),
I am so sorry to hear that Ian is stuck in hospital, but glad that there seems to be a superior remedy for avoiding more fluid on the lungs in future.
I came on this site this afternoon to do two things really: 1/ express appreciation to those who participated in last night's vigil on my own behalf, and 2/ to check on how Ian was doing as I was having trouble "finding" him (if that's how to describe it) when I was meditating earlier today.
Now that I know what's going on, I'll intensify my efforts to send dear Ian whatever form of energy the Universe deems best for him now, knowing that Source knows best. :)
He has been such a help to me with his inspiring positive attitude that I certainly want to return the favor in whatever small way is possible.
Much love to all goes with the writing,
Brenda
okay, y'all, get out your experiences, thinking caps, and remedies.
jennie is 11 (will be 12 in october).
this year she has started to show all of the classic signs of puberty, and a couple of weeks ago had cramps about the same time as my cycle.
((((Nina, Jenny, Chris, and Jackson)))) and (((dogs)))
My migraines began early and were always hormone related. I still get a few now, but they are very rare. Usually I seemed to get them every OTHER month, so perhaps one ovary's eggs/process was more likely to screw up my hormones?!?? Anyway, after many years of Advil & hiding in a dark room, avoiding food smells that made the nausea worse, I hit upon this cure: 1 Extra Strength Tylenol, 1 regular Aspirin, and some caffeine. (These are the ingredients in Excedrin Migraine, btw, but it is much more expensive than just combining the other three. Half a can of pop is enough.) This works only after you know you're getting the migraine, and Jenny's tunnel vision is her clue, but before it becomes full blown. Problem is, Jenny is probably not likely to be allowed to have aspirin yet. So my best advice is to see what the gynocologist advises. I never felt a correlation with food. If I were to get a migraine, it was always on the 2nd day of my menses. If I made it past day two, I was "safe."
Good luck and much empathy!
Love, Brenda
