  Merry Christmas Good News for ME!!!!

  dear loving jwd family,.

  as many of you know, i have benefited immensely from the tuesday night vigils and the positive energy expended on my behalf via prayer, reiki, visualization, etc.. i had my last herceptin treatment on november 30, and then got bogged down with finals, so didn't check in here.

  i had a muga scan and a ct scan of my lungs, abdomen and pelvis this past tuesday as the sort of end of treatment check ups.. i am grateful, elated, pleased, thankful and more to report the results:.

  Thanks for sharing my joy, guys. I'm cooking tonight and we're having a late dinner before heading out to "Midnight" mass. Every once in a while I like to go to church, and I love to sing all the Christmas songs, so we go.

  Tomorrow morning it's opening presents with the kids, then they're off to their dad's for early dinner and back to my place for cake.

  My friend Jann is coming over and we're going to watch "The Celestine Prophecy," which just came out.

  "In lieu of flowers, please donate to the World Wide Work of JW's"

  in lieu of flowers, donations made to the world wide work of jehovah's witnesses would be appreciated by the family.. anybody ever seen a witness family do this before?

  i saw it in an obit in a newspaper online and it made me sick!

  most people ask for donations to non-profit organizations that help fight disease like cancer, etc.

  Yes, the organization encourages Witnesses to do that. They have a nice little pamphlet that speaks to all the ways you or your estate can give to the organization after you die. Maybe someone has a link to a scan? out

  Dear loving JWD family,

  As many of you know, I have benefited immensely from the Tuesday night vigils and the positive energy expended on my behalf via prayer, reiki, visualization, etc.

  I had my last Herceptin treatment on November 30, and then got bogged down with finals, so didn't check in here. I had a MUGA scan and a CT Scan of my lungs, abdomen and pelvis this past Tuesday as the sort of end of treatment check ups.

  I am grateful, elated, pleased, thankful and more to report the results:

  -- the MUGA scan showed excellent heart function (actually improved from the last one); and

  -- the CT scan showed clear lungs, and no remarkable difference from previous scans of my abdomen and pelvis.

  YAY!!!!! Could I have asked for a better Christmas gift?

  I CANNOT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH for helping me through these hellish past 18 months. Wish we had a way to celebrate all together.

  Instead, I send you holiday wishes for joy and harmony.

  WONDERFUL story! Good for you, Renee! The first class I took in college was a logic class. I had DA'd myself in March and took my first college class in May. I figured I needed that class badly if I had been convinced by JWs to convert in my late 20's - LOL. I've never looked back. Like you, I am very much happier now than I was then.   i will be interviewing for a position at the university of southern california.

  the pay is not going to be that good to begin with, but i have mitigating factors, my son who is a junior this year, can get in and i won't have to pay a dime towards his tuition.

  his dream is to go to usc and to play for the usc marching band.

  she got some pain meds this am and she told me the dr. will probably release her this afternoon.
