these signs are ready for immediate duplication.
(the bottom one entitled flyer is in actually dimensions.
) its 3x 4. it was done at fast signs which is a nationwide chain, (sign-a-rama or any other sign company can make these for you).
Ummm, Venice?
I REALLY, REALLY hate to be the one to point this out, but the site is
www.silentlambs.org
Yikes!
Also, I have to agree with Pathofthorns. Although there are many here who would like nothing better than to see the Watchtower toppled, I don't think that is necessarily the goal of silentlambs' campaign. Rather, the goal is to assist victims to get relief by having WT policy changed as to how pedophiles are dealt with internally as well as reporting accusations of abuse to the local civil authorities for investigation.
I feel that part of the success of my recent DC campaign was due to the fact that my flyers and moving billboard (van) were perceived as having a message about something that was meant to be helpful to Jehovah's people. I fear the opposite effect might result from the types of signs you are proposing.
I disagree with Path on the matter of writing out the hotline number numerically. I don't think in and of itself 1-877-WTABUSE "says" anything bad. Some may even have been fooled into thinking it was an approved Watch Tower hotline. But highlighting the "ABUSE" part of the number in red may be unnecessarily inflammatory.
The hardest part of participating in this advertising campaign of silentlambs will be for us to keep our passions and personal frustrations in check as we (who have come to know and LOVE freedom of expression!) seek to aid the little ones who are depending on us and their families to be able to get the justice and help they deserve.
I'm VERY proud of your efforts!
Love,

Hello, Moejojojo, and welcome to the Board!
I am interested in the text for December 25th. I'm a Christmas baby, so I'd like to know what CT Russell had to say as Daily Manna way back when!
I was just watching Powerpuffs tonight! LOL!!!!!

as it was considered back in 1995 that due to not holding to the society's view of the literal generation of 1914,i had disasociated myself, now all jehovah,s witnesses dont believe this anymore, are they all appostate for rejecting this important truth, that i had apparently sinned so much in rejecting?????????

Hey, Cornish.
I knew in principle that the reaction that Maximus just described would likely be the one you received, but I still thought it would be highly educational for all of us here and especially the lurkers to actually see a Letter from the Society stating such in their usual roundabout way.
Whaddaya say? Are you willing to be the test case?
Whether or not you actually want back in and would be willing to undergo a grilling from local elders once you had the Society's response in hand is, of course, "a personal matter".

basically, all religions have the same core tenets.
1. have love for others.. 2. don't value material things more than you value each other.. i have a theory for this.
i call it the natural guilt theory.
I think I love YOU, Joel!

i have grieved over many deaths in my short life, but now i am grieving over what i once believed.
i'm past the anger now, so here comes the denial, and then the guilt.
does anybody have one of those "men in black" memory eraser pen flashing dealies?
I, too, felt SO badly about 3 weeks ago. Depressed, actually, over the loss.
I am coming out of the funk now -- my apostatizing helped tremendously! -- but I still described myself mid-campaign to a friend as "bereft."
Know that this, too, shall pass, shall recur, and pass again. I have faith that the pain will lessen.
While many of us lost years of our lives to a lie and have lost family as well due to EVIL shunning, the posters on this board have shown it is possible to pick up the pieces, get on with our lives, and have a fulfilling existance on earth.
When the sadness overpowers you, come and share here.
We will listen.

i recieved this in my e-mail this morning.
i love the last paragraph!
it seems that these ones feel most jws aren't worth talking to as far as spiritual maturity is concerned.
Lindy,
My personal take on this is that it is an apostate site masquerading as innocent, helpful, and 'spiritually mature' JWs, who are hoping to get loyal JWs to read, read, read about their origins so that they CAN recognize the CURRENT truths as totally opposite to/different from the original teachings of the 'movement.'
Calling themselves "PIONEERS OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES" (even if they are speaking about the early influences on the Society) lends an air of authority and validation to their site ('pioneers' BEING spiritually mature ones -- supposedly ) and saying that only "Spiritually Mature" ones need read this material gives it a cachet which will appeal to JW's who like to THINK of themselves as "spiritually mature" even if they are not.
Just my gut reaction. ESPECIALLY after reading the Disclaimer that appears on the Library page link:
The material accumulated in this website is intended solely to supplement historical summaries provided by the Faithful and Discreet Slave. Our intended audience is that small minority of Jehovah's Witnesses who are interested in studying our 19th century "roots", and who have attained that level of spiritual maturity necessary to study the "deeper things". Less mature ones should proceed no further, but rather should restrict themselves to material found in the Proclaimers Book and other Watchtower publications.
Who among us likes to think of him/herself as "less mature?" LOL

for those of you who haven`t been following it,the wts is in a downward spiral here in japan.fs hours are down, memorial attendance.
is down,pioneers are down,studies are down,donations are down,number.
of congregations is down and the number of publishers continues to.
JWD,
Great thread!
I'm very interested in this blood card with choices.
Any chance you could scan it (maybe white out any personal references to that sister?) and translate what the "choices" are into English for us here on the board?
