Ooooooh! The Rogue River! I stayed along the Rogue River about 20 years or so ago! Nice!
The last really fun thing I did was last weekend, when I flew to Connecticut for my niece's wedding. I got picked up at the airport by #2 daughter, then got to see the daughter and one niece who just returned from a whirlwind tour of Europe, had my nails done with 2 daughters and 4 nieces -- some had pedicures, too, ate an eggplant parmigiana grinder (no such thing in Michigan), went shopping, saw their vacation pics at my ex-sis-in-laws. That was Friday. Saturday was studying for Monday's exam -- not so much fun -- after a delicious brunch, and then the wedding. It was charming and my foot was feeling well enough that I danced -- quite a lot-- at the reception. I also drank -- quite a lot, because there was a shuttle back to the hotel :) And my 19 year old son actually danced with me!!!On Sunday, we just relaxed and then I had lunch with 2 daughters, 1 niece and 1 girlfriend. It was a happy, playful weekend, and I just had a blast!!!

I, too, have left most of my friends behind, and feel lonely lots of the time. I miss my friend, Dee, most of all, but there are others, too.
I'm sorry you're lonely right now. It hurts when we feel so much love for people, and it doesn't feel like it's returned. I was lucky in that a friend of mine who left the organization a couple of years before me accepted my apology after I DA'd myself. We are close friends again. Even on the inside, I had never stopped loving her.
Perhaps you will have a similar experience some day. I hope so.

Wishing you all strength and courage as you say goodbye to Aliyah tomorrow. She was beautiful, Tat. Personally, I believe she IS beautiful still -- that her loveliness lives on eternally, as your poem indicated. You will all still miss her, tho. And that is hard.
Warm hugs,

Did Jesus really die on a cross?
by moomanchu inbelieve it or not this was the very very begining of my demise as a dub.. i picked the simplest thing that dubs disagree with christians on and i thought surely i could come to a conclusion as to wether dubs were right or christendom was right.i wanted to start building my foundation of faith in them.. i can't believe they are still using this stupid illustration of the loved one murdered by the weapon illustration!.
idiots, jesus wasn't murdered he gave his life ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
they have this on their site.. http://www.watchtower.org/e/200604a/article_01.htm.

I'm with Gopher. The point of the crucifix -- Jesus portrayed on the instrument of his death -- is that he "climbed" up there voluntarily on behalf of those who had already or would later put faith in him. Thus the cross is not a MURDER weapon at all. This is why it was wrong for Christians to call Jews Christ-killers. Or for the Romans to be blamed, either. Just as Judas was used as the instrument of Christ's betrayal, and Peter made an example of with his denial, the cross was the means by which local authorities punished treason. Jesus knew full well what type of death he would undergo when he agreed to drink the cup the Father had asked him to drink. That it was a brutal way to die makes the love that he showed humankind that much more astonishing and gratitude inspiring. The crucifix is worn as a way to acknowledge/proclaim one's faith in the power of that sacrifice. It is displayed in houses of worship and homes as a focus for contemplation on that great gift.

Is there a major cost advantage to using LED over conventional lightbulbs, Jim?
Or an energy-saving advantage?
Would it be good for the environment to have such circuitry commercially available? Assuming you could shield the LEDs with "shades" to make the light comfortable on the human eye?

((((Tatiana and family))))).
My deepest condolences.
SIDS has touched my family twice--two different generations. It is just so horrible!
Try to avoid any finger-pointing, and please, do look into a SIDS support group. People can be cruel both on purpose and inadvertently after the death of a child. The group will help.
I know you are reeling from this. Grieve as YOU will. It's not normal and it hurts.
May you eventually find peace.

How wonderful! Sincere congratulations!!!
I think sending a card is a nice idea. I thought Mike wasn't speaking to them until they treated their grandchild's mother with respect? I agree that it's normal to let them know, but you don't want to put yourself in a position to hear hurtful things. The card sounds normal, but emotionally safe.
There's a small chance you won't have [worse] nausea with this pregnancy. Sometimes, one pregnancy doesn't resemble the next so exactly. (One can hope!)
