  ...soccer city stadium.. they are selling tickets to go and listen to a gb member talk for about 3 hours.. they price them at r20.00/ $2.40.

  In the past a letter would be read (from the society) suggesting a certain amount to be contributed (per publisher) for a specific event or need. Publishers would then raise their hands in agreement, if the majority agreed then the congregation would contribute that said amount to the society according to the number of publishers in the congregation. I would assume this worked on the same principle.

  In order for a publisher to attend he had to make a "contribution" of R20.

  If there was a ticket it would be admitting one had to pay to attend the zone visit.

  So this is happening today most of the witnesses in South africa will be there.

  My In laws are there...expected crowd is 78000 at R20 a ticket to get in.

  since half of them ended up at my house on friday and saturday nights i was given a very shining report card.

  he then told me that he would knock on my door bright and early in the morning to take me to breakfast with him and his wife.

  a couple of them told they enjoy the articles i write in the art magazines and they were really happy to meet me.

  I discovered Dave's story earlier today and I couldn't leave it until I finished reading all the parts. Although I sometimes thought it was hilarious it was also very touching and drove me to tears especially when he had to leave his sons behind.

  Thank you to everyone who posts their story, it is truly encouraging to us who are still in the beginning stages of our fading.

  I have a question regarding" free" magazines

  since they no longer charge for mags at the doors do the publishers carry this cost ?i used to be a literature servant and you never gave away mags unless they were old and out of date to be left at doctors waiting rooms etc.

  not at peoples homes ,otherwise householders would expect to get them for free.

  in other words do the publishers pay for the mags and give them away for free?

  Good morning to all

  The official postion as i remember is that "the brothers and sisters now have a privilege to show their love and appreciation to Jehovah for the literature through their voluntary contributions towards the world wide work, the boxes are placed at the literature counters."

  Aswell as making sure not to deprive the householfers of an opportunity to contribute at the doors.

  So money twice for the same piece of literature.

  "which religious leader is interested about the good news being preached worldwide at thesame level with the JW leaders?"

  It seems the adventist through their Media networks are converting about 2900 people a day and have about 15million members there form of preaching whether informally or via media seems to be working as are many others.

  "Although they may claim to be honest and sincere, but what do their works show towards sharing what they knew with others?. "

  The "Watchtower Organisation" has proven time and time again to be dishonest by omission and dishonest in general so this rules them out.

  Unfortunately Logic and reason dont seem to penetrate into your thoughts, I'm trying to decide if this is some form of satire or which Institution allows such frequent internet access.

  That probably just about describes any serious religious person qualified/ordained etc in their respective religion around that time.

  I'm glad we could clarify and agree there Doctrine is/was flawed, and that you believe they were chose mainly because they had good attitudes.

  i see a few want to believe in the watchtower's view of bible prophecy, scriptural understandings and the view that the "anointed remnant" dispense the "spiritual food at the proper time".. how would you refute those views?.

  between 1 and 100 rate how you respond to human authority.

  where 1 is being in favor of anarchy and 100 is being in favor of humans having full control over your life.. me: 25.

  Well the question was how you feel about human authorities having control over your life, so 1-100 i put it in a percentage format and run it through my mind.

  I feel that i would be comfortable with human Authority having a 19% control over my life I'm not sure if this points to Duration or Intensity.

  Apologies if i misunderstood the question i have had a few beers.
