What Do Jehovah's Witnesses Owe Us?
by 00DAD ini thought i'd start a new thread in response to this one: .
what we owe jehovah's witnesses.
and rephrase the statement into a question: what do jehovah's witnesses owe us?.

by Momma-Tossed-Me inso i said that i would post this letter that i sent out to fb jws who were still my friends on fb at the time.. a little background might be in order here.
i was called to meet with two elders in the hall because i had filed to run for political office.

What's your Myers-Briggs?
by Londo111 ini am infp.. some former witnesses in my hometown had a meetup last night...alas, only four of us.
but it turned out we had an infp(me), two infjs, and an enfp.
therefore, it turned out we were all idealists.

Hi - I'm new here!
by Flicka ini have been lurking on this site for the past 2 months.
for the past few years i have been going to the meetings and doing fieldservice out of guilt.. my husband (twisty) told me regularly i only do it out of guilt but i denied it and said it i want to do these things because i love jehovah and it is the right thing to do, but how can it be the right thing if you don't feel welcome and it feels like everyone is judging you the moment you walk into the kingdom hall.. it has taken a few years and a lot of tears to open my eyes.. over the past few years twisty spoke to me about the various things he didn't agree with but it just went over my head.
a few months ago we were lying in bed and he brought up his concerns again, and i'm not sure what was different this time but i understood and agreed with the points he was making.

Childbirth, A Protection For Women (Per Paul)... How?
by AGuest into the household of god, israel, and those who go with... may you all have peace!.
this will be the second "reward" that i have the privilege of sharing with you today.
if you recall, i have shared with you that virtually every time i've gone through a fairly grueling "battle" for our lord... i receive a "reward".

Actually, I think the "thing", dear Twisty (peace to you!), was that a christian mother would be better off... because as a former JEW/Israelite ... she was carrying a little JEW/Israelite inside her. "Jew" wasn't something restricted to the religion - much MORE so, it was BLOOD. Sure, the mother might be considered an "apostate," but she was still carrying a Jew/Israelite inside her (because the lineage was through the mother ).
So in that case any child born of a Christian mother would be a Jew and free from persecution until he actively proved he was a Christian(as his parents would expect) after that he would be fair game?
Tell me, how to you harm/kill a pregant woman... who hasn't committed adultery, etc.,... and get past the LAW?
How do you kill anybody and get past the law?
If pregnant women were afforded any form of protection/mercy it was not from the law but rather a deeper inherent quality like justice and protection of babies.
Its not viable that Paul would think that the people wouldnt hesitate to bypass the law at verse 12 but would halt at verse 22.

Ok so a Christian mother would be better off from persecution by Jews because she carried a little Christian inside her?
The Supporting scripture for this notion being Ex 21:22-25?
Keeping in mind Ex 21:12..( 12 “Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death.) NIV
It might be the Jews didnt hold themselves to these Laws in exodus or thought it didnt apply to christians.
Never the less it was an entertaining hypothesis.
