  this urban legend/anecdote was on the facebook page of a jw who is a facebook friend of mine.

  it's kind of long but tell us what you think....it was all i could do to stop myself from making a snarky comment.

  a young couple very much wanted to have a family, but his wife could not conceive, so they decided to adopt a baby.

  I knew of an old JW couple whose only son died in Vietnam who adopted/fostered 2 teenage sisters.

  They set about terrorizing the parents and burn quite a large sum of money the parents had.

  They were eventually returned some how. Never heard that experience at an assembly.

  hello, this is my first post and the first time i have told my entire story, albeit abridged, to anyone.

  it will be a long story, sorry.. my grandparents were brought up with different religious backgrounds but converted to bible students around the depression era.

  later, my grandfather met my grandmother through the congregation and got married until his death, having a marriage that lasted over four decades.

  Hi,

  I'm also gay, born in and never baptised left on my 21st birthday and about to have my 10th anniversary with my partner in Jan.

  It does get better. My teenage years like most gay JW kids was hell. It was such a relief to get out into the real world.

  And the one about the guy with super human powers who lost it all after he got a haircut.

  And there was this one about a guy who built this really big boat....

  i really do not understand how any can be athiests from thinking real hard about it.

  how can you think everything on this earth just happened?.

  from my understanding, to be athiest, this is pretty much how it goes.

  whassup guys.

  i've spent most of my web time over the last 2 years at another site full of ex-jdubs...i'd say about 50 people post there on occasion...many of that number regularly.. what struck me from the beginning, as i got to know the people posting there was...how many were now atheists...non-believers in god...the bible...pretty much anything they once held sacred as jw's!.

  i dare say...90 some % do not consider themselves christian now!.

  Charlie's comment is 11 years old I doubt he's still around.

  If god was real he could of at least commanded people to wash their hands after a crap it would have saved

  millions of lives. Strange how he forgot to mention it.
