hello, this is my first post and the first time i have told my entire story, albeit abridged, to anyone.
it will be a long story, sorry.. my grandparents were brought up with different religious backgrounds but converted to bible students around the depression era.
later, my grandfather met my grandmother through the congregation and got married until his death, having a marriage that lasted over four decades.

I'm also gay, born in and never baptised left on my 21st birthday and about to have my 10th anniversary with my partner in Jan.
It does get better. My teenage years like most gay JW kids was hell. It was such a relief to get out into the real world.

i really do not understand how any can be athiests from thinking real hard about it.
how can you think everything on this earth just happened?.
from my understanding, to be athiest, this is pretty much how it goes.

i've spent most of my web time over the last 2 years at another site full of ex-jdubs...i'd say about 50 people post there on occasion...many of that number regularly.. what struck me from the beginning, as i got to know the people posting there was...how many were now atheists...non-believers in god...the bible...pretty much anything they once held sacred as jw's!.
i dare say...90 some % do not consider themselves christian now!.
Charlie's comment is 11 years old I doubt he's still around.
If god was real he could of at least commanded people to wash their hands after a crap it would have saved
millions of lives. Strange how he forgot to mention it.
a friend or mine posted this on facebook (it has made the rounds on the net).. i didn't have the heart to tell her that this looks like a fairly typical letter from a jw to a disfellowshipped letter, often for things that would blow a normal person's mind (holidays, politics, marriage outside the cult, etc).. .

My mother said my coming out to her was the same as me dying.
She also said I was better off committing suicide than being gay as I would be resurrected a perfectly straight man apparently.

i was just thinking that out of the 200 jws that i actually know, at least 4 of them to my knowledge are pedophiles.
i know for a fact, through personal confidences.
that means, as far as my circle of jovo friends/acquaintances goes, 2% of them are kiddy fiddlers.. without mentioning names or details, how many do you know of for a certainty to be pedos, and what percentage does it work out at, considering all your circle of jovo friends?.
1 elder was in the Tamworth congregation I was at as a teenager. He outed himself by keeping a diary of his exploits which his wife found.
He had molested all 5 of his daughters and their even had sex with their goat. He was jailed on a unrelated fake injury at work insurance scam for 7 years.
He remarried and was reinstated not long after he got out of jail.
my new canon camera has video capabities so on saturday as we had some fast moving high clouds.
i filmed some for a time-lapse video which ended with the most beautiful sunset.. i also added some of my still photography to the mix.. .
