It cerainly looks that way. A lot’s been happening in JW world of late but it seems that no matter the milieu this statement applies, the reason being the imperative to produce ‘content’.

Haha, look those here who know me and my family situation and my location know that’ll never happen!

If in doubt you might like to check out the “Best of ozziepost” thread of some years ago.

My point is that I have learned not to let it (my distate of the borg) eat away at me, I have a good fulfilled life away from the borg and am thankful that unlike all my dear family and relatives I can enjoy real freedom.

Diogenesister Ray Franz took all the puzzle pieces that I kept finding down the back of the sofa and put the picture together for me.
All those things that were bugging me during my indoctrination, the things that caused the dissonance peaked my curiosity to read the book. The rest is history.

I loved that book Commentary on James. At the time I couldn’t imagine why they pulled it. Now we know why!

I know that Mrs Ozzie loved that publication, so much different to the usual stuff.

about 30 years ago Witnesses started treating the Memorial like Easter & Christmas wrapped up in one. People would buy a fancy new outfit just for the Memorial (Easter Sunday outfit) and then big groups would go out to ~~Christmas~~ dinner after the Memorial was over.

so apparently robert hendricks the spin doctor of the wt society has been proudly telling news channels how wonderful the wt org has been during the 2 years of the pandemic, checking in with each and every member to meet their needs on a weekly basis.. except, based on the comments of former jw friends on facebook, it's news to most of them since they are screaming out that they were totally neglected by the elders/ms throughout most of that period.

a couple even said that because of being ignored by the congregation during this time, that they have walked away completely.
