wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!
and the end times.
a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

We had this same point just a few weeks back, I’m thinking we should be seeing some familiar faces joining our thread pretty soon. 😉

Overlapping prostitutes. "I didn't sleep with many! It was just an overlapping one!"

He doesn’t want to analyze doctrines, does he?
I think he has tried in the past but he faces the problem that, since he has no belief in the Scriptures’ historicity nor any proclaimed belief, he’s stuck with just dismissing the whole basis of belief.
As has been previously mentioned some pages back (I think!), his channel is now presenting a JW v Atheism challenge alone. Of course, it’s not that simple and PIMOs are working through a myriad of aspects to belief.
IMHO a forum like this (than you Simon!) has far more substantive value. We can be informed and challenged every step of the way.
Well that’s my .05 cents worth 😎
Cheers,

I hear they are great at covering up the non-mastering of one's penis.
Remember Pillowgate ? !!
i keep hearing that the watchtower org is going to be around forever because of the many other religions that have been around a long time.
but i disagree because the wt is not like other religious cults.. the watchtower's breath of life is dependent on the last days that started in 1914. .
you can’t change 1914 without a death blow to the entire organization.. the watchtower's 2nd reason for staying alive, is it's continual urging that the life saving preaching work of warning people is the most important work ever.. but- it's very obvious to many, even the old ones that instead of speeding up the work------the work is slowing down to a drip.. comment by former believer; .
They could eventually blame It all on the Bible Students….The blind sheep will follow along.
Yep, they’ve certainly done that !

I notice that people on this site and others use the word "cult" in reference to the JW religion and other religions, but I never met a person who ever used the word "sect" while talking to me
Back when I was ‘in’, I tolerated the term “sect” but vehemently rejected the Borg being described as a cult.
Of course times change and here I am some 25 years later and my opinion is very changed.
The Dubdom too has evolved along with its “new light” so now we have a group of just eight men (why no women?) who are proclaimed by themselves as having a special place in both human history and bible prophecy
That special place gives them all authority over millions of people. It promotes edicts that cause incredible harm and distress to millions of people.
Is it a cult? Of course it is!
As a cult, it can only end in disaster
the org has been exposed for abusing dmca laws to hunt down and punish anonymous faders/jw's.. https://pubcit.typepad.com/clpblog/2022/05/watch-tower-drops-its-effort-to-identify-a-dissident-blogger-based-on-spurious-copyright-claims.html.
if you talk to a jw, tell them how wisely the "faithful slave is looking after the masters belongings.

Well, we wish Kevin McFree well !
So glad it worked out.
”Kevin” mate, your you tube videos were so insightful, we knew just where you were coming from.
It took an extraordinary amount of effort to produce just one episode but please know that it was worth it. You done good, mate!
this can be confusing because the wts has adjusted from not having a clergy class to not having a "paid" clergy class.. "a congregation of brothers precludes having a proud clergy class that honors itself with high-sounding titles and elevates itself above a laity" wt 6/1/2001 p. 12, pp 11. still same idea in 2021 wt october, p. 20, pp.
7, but 2022 in the wt publication, frequently asked questions about jehovah’s witnesses, page 13, the wts inserts "paid" in front of "clergy perhaps to shore up their current statement in secular courts they have clergy, just not paid) "following the model of first-century christianity, jehovah’s witnesses have no clergy-laity division.
all baptized witnesses are ordained ministers and share in the preaching and teaching work.
Everyone in Bethel. Women and non Elders too. So the theory about wt paid clergy falls apart because the same allowance for everyone is not a paid clergy.
So what you’re saying is that they all get the same, right?
Man, have you been in Bethel?
The GB get the same?? Really?.
That’s how Tony Morris can buy $100 bottles of whisky, eh?

I don't care what they call themselves. The elders perform the functions of clergy and exercise ecclesiastical authority over their congregations.
Oh, don’t be so logical, Jeff ! 🙃
