happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.
truly i say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings.

As the Bible says , the faithful slave is found at headquarters in New York and if you don't believe in them, regardless of your faith in Christ, you will be eternally destroyed at Armageddon.
When I try to explain that to my bible study group, they look incredulous at me…..which just about sums up how ridiculous the teaching is but scary to think we once believed it.

isaiah 43:10. in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god and the word was god.

Lloyd seems, to me, to be angry with “God” in general.
Yep, methinks “he protesteth too much”.
Like a kid proclaiming their innocence when the guilt is obvious, LE seems to think his beliefs (yes, atheism can be classified as a belief system) are a badge of honor.
IMO this does nothing to validate his exJW status. Probably the opposite.

A "movement" only has value if it is based on truth and integrity.
Good grief, are you serious?
C’mon people, just because you exited a cult, doesn’t make you, or l, or us a “movement”. A movement describes a “whole” but that hasn’t been shown in any kind of evidence.
Many of us posting here over many years have posted our disavowal of all things Watchtower but have walked different paths.
A “movement” ? I’m not so sure.
I’m more sure of an affection for JWN. - luvs ya peeps !

"The Truth"
by Ding inwe all know that jws consider the wt religion to be "the truth" and refer to it as such.. granted, that phrase is used repeatedly in the literature and from the platform.. but it's obvious that much of what the organization used to require jws to teach house-to-house as important truths--even within our own lifetimes--has been abandoned.
it's been replaced by "new light" and "refined understanding.
what's meant by "the 1914 generation" is a prime example.. in fact, i think it would be hard to find another religion that has changed so many of its teachings, especially in such a short period of time.. so why do jws still believe their religion to be "the truth"?.
