Does faith really mean everything to the practicing Jehovah's Witness

for example, model coco rocha caught my attention this morning and of course she is a jehovahs witness.

For example, Model Coco Rocha caught my attention this morning and of course she is a Jehovah’s Witness. She says, "My faith is everything.” Is it really? And the level of makeup? She does wear a lot of makeup and is very showy for a quiet and mild spirit.

Paul and Peter admonished Christian women to adorn themselves “with modesty and soundness of mind, . . . in the way that befits women professing to reverence God,” and to let their adornment be “the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible apparel of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God.” (1Ti 2:9, 10; 1Pe 3:3, 4)

What is your take on this "quiet" spirit within your congregation? Do you allow such members like Coco Rocha in your Kingdom Halls? What would Paul and Peter, if present, say to such a woman who does not really appear as “ the secret person of the heart…”?

Someone I know dearly posted this question up on yahoo answers and the responses given by known Jehovah's Witnesses on this site have posed their weak arguments. What sayeth you?

"Tim in '66" argues the following: dressing up as a giant hamburger to promote burgers is similar to a JW model promoting oneself! I do have a problem with this analogy.

There is a difference with the examples (hamburger costume vs a professional model) given above. The model wears an excessive amount of makeup which is indeed something Peter and Paul would frown upon if they were present here today. She is promoting herself to the world. John 7:18

Diane says: "These celebrities are under a lot of pressure and its even more difficult for them to comply with Jehovah's word." In other words, it's okay to be a worldy JW model, for example, if you're under a lot of pressure?

Porcelain vessel says, we shouldn't judge others. So what do the Elders/Governing Body do? Do they judge others?

Bonus question:
Does the Watchtower really allow showy models in their Organization? If so, what would Peter and Paul, if present, actually say to such a person roaming their Halls?

We do have our personal opinions on all this and do not chastice those who want to be whatever they desire to be. However, if an organization such as the Watchtower inc. follow bible principles to a tee then why are certain rules thrown out in a case like this? There are other circumstances that the Watchtower inc. overlook and perhaps it has something to do with M-O-N-E-Y? We know a hypocrite when we see one.

decorating the christmas tree is not scripturally condemned yet the jehovah's witnesses are not allowed to decorate it let alone have one in the house.. .

As for makeup, Watchtower says the following:

“Modest and tasteful use of cosmetics and articles of adornment is not scripturally condemned. If the “use of cosmetics and articles of adornment is not scripturally condemned” then shouldn’t you apply the same reasoning to decorating the Christmas tree?

With all this said, shouldn’t the Superiors in Bethel allow their beloved members to decorate a Christmas tree “with modesty and soundness of mind, . . . in the way that befits [people] professing to reverence God,” and to let their adornment be “the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible [decorations] of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God.”?

Of course the Jehovahs will most likely mention Jeremiah 10 and Isaiah 44:14-19 BUT just know that Christians do not worship the Xmas tree but use it with a good conscience and “soundness of mind”.

Why guilt people into joining the Org. if there is no eternal punishment in the first place?

During the recruiting process, cult members use coercive methods of instilling guilt on those who are weak minded 
thus making them join out of fear.  The Watchtower publication use powerful/scary illustrations in their 
magazines and books to lure the victims in. Why be fearful? What would be the consequences if you disobey 
Jehovah? There is no eternal punishment. You have a choice of sleeping in the grave forever (no pain, no suffering) or
living on Paradise Earth with the rest of the happy robots. Either way, there is no suffering. Does all this have
something to do with enslavement? What's really going on here? More heads in the Org=more power? more money?

Why does Hebrews 6 say that it is impossible to revive to repentance one who has "fallen away"?

In the "Reasoning" book (pages 34-37), this scripture is used to help define and understand apostasy:

Why would Jehovah's inspired word say something that sounds totally inaccurate? Is this passage merely figurative? I know that when something that is literally-stated in the Bible doesn't make sense, we can simply take it "figuratively" and vice versa. Let's say that a brother, Joe, is walking to Kingdom Hall and he passes a store display featuring a Christmas tree. "Wretched pagans!" he mutters to himself. Then, when he finally reaches his destination, he sees a young sister who is decorated with the finest makeup and modest (but eye-catching) jewelry. He keeps looking her way during the meeting, trying to avoid being noticed by her husband.

That night, when Joe goes home, he can't seem to get her out of his mind. He is restless and has to take a cold shower before going to bed. In the morning, he has only had a few hours' sleep and can't stay focused while working with his study.

Which caused more problems for Joe? Was it the decorated tree, or the decorated woman? If you were Satan, which tool would value most?

Why do the elders work so hard to keep Christmas trees out of the homes of publishers when there is a permanent forest of Satan's "pretty trees" bearing the fruit of sin in congregations all over the world?

Why omit John 8:6?

Why remove John 8:1-11 in the NWT if these verses speak highly of Jesus

i understand these verses were removed in the nwt as well as some other bibles because they were added later & considered uninspired.

jesus protected an adultress so why remove it?

it fits in nicely with his teachings, does it not?
