It Was Never Enough

it was never enough.. i remember the first time as a kid i comprehended that i could never do enough for the organization.. a circuit overseer was giving a talk and said,:.

sunday is meeting, and since you are dressed up you might as well do some field service after the meeting.. monday you should spend an hour or so in the evening preparing for the book study on tuesday.. tuesday is book study.. wednesday should be time for your family study, personal study, or preparation for all three.

I remember that same thing being said from the platform when I was pioneering.

It is the same reason why most of the JWs are never truly happy or satisfied with what they are doing, because there is always more they should do, or in other words if you have time to breathe you are not doing enough!!! I know one pioneer that tried to commit a suicide after not being able to continue pioneering. She felt depressed and worthless because she couldn't do more, and yet many speakers are comfortable to impose their rules on others from the platform, than can cause individuals to want to end their life. Horrible!!!

Could you 'Wake Up Happy' if you were an active Witness, knowing what you know now? (A 2012 Convention invitation)

a convention invitation.

i came home the other day and found an invitation to the upcoming district convention in my door.

i don't believe these are left in the doors of the general public, so a well-meaning witness must have been thinking of me, even though i have not been to the kh in about 7 years.. the leading question on the front immediately got my attention, and made my jaw drop a bit.. i thought i would ask the forum, .

When my mum asked me will I go to the convention, I thought "No way", and that's my answer to your question.

Maybe there were times when I thought I was happy as an active Witness, but I don't think I really was. How can anyone be happy being an active witness knowing the truth about the WTS, their hypocrisy and how many lives have been ruined due to their teachings?

The problem is knowing what I know now is not making me happy either. I feel like everything has been taken from me, being raised as a witness, I never celebrated anything, never had close "wordly" friends that I could turn to now, and my family and friends feel sorry for me as I am "spiritually weak". I can finally understand how those people felt who were standing at the exit of the convention arena.
